The second Obama term
Re: The second Obama term
Obama is trying hard to give control of the internet to the UN.
He's such a nice guy.

The guy has broken pretty much every promise he made.
Now we get Hillary or Trump.
Yay!

Obama's G20 trip doesn't start well.
There's video on Youtube of him leaving via the back of the plane. Ouch.

Re: The second Obama term
Bill that allows citizens to sue Saudi Arabia over 9/11.
"Hey judge, we served Saudi Arabia with a court order to appear and they're, like, totally half an hour late. Can the sheriff or marshal or someone go get them?"
So they're looking for a veto override on unabashed reelection fodder during lame duck time? This could be hilarious. The legislation gives victims' families the right to sue in U.S. court for any role that elements of the Saudi government may have played in the 2001 attacks that killed thousands in New York, the Washington, D.C., area and Pennsylvania.
The White House has signaled Obama would veto the legislation over the potential for it to backfire and apprehension about undermining a longstanding yet strained relationship with a critical U.S. ally in the Middle East. The Obama administration has warned that if U.S. citizens can take the Saudis to court, then a foreign country could in turn sue the United States.
Votes from two-thirds of the members in the House and Senate would be needed to override a veto.
Uh, no. Maybe we should get a group of less gullible people because statistically speaking, more than 1 in 12 believes in that bullshit 9/11 "Spare Change" conspiracy. And just who the hell is going to enforce this? What court is going to hold this proceeding?Rep. Ted Poe, R-Texas, said the U.S. government should be more concerned about the families of the victims than "diplomatic niceties." Poe said he doesn't know if the Saudi government had a role in the Sept. 11 attacks.
"That's for a jury of Americans to decide," Poe said.

Said the man with round the clock personal bodyguards. We've been doing nothing but giving into fear for the last 15 years."As Americans, we do not give in to fear," President Barack Obama said at the Pentagon Memorial service as about 800 family and friends of those who died stood for 30 seconds of silence at 9:37 a.m. EDT, the same time of morning that a jetliner struck the building and killed 184 people.

Top FBI pig swears he was honest during investigation.
You may remember James Comey as the prick who thinks the gov't has a god-given, inalienable right to snoop your phone if there's a hint of a chance of a possibility you might be involved in something illegal. He's also the prick who demonstrates a fundamental inability to understand the higher points of cryptography."I knew there were going to be all kinds of rocks thrown, but this organization and the people who did this are honest, independent people. We do not carry water for one side or the other — that’s hard for people to see because so much of our country, we see things through sides. … We are not on anybody’s side," Comey said. "This was done exactly the way you would want it to do to be done."

Re: The second Obama term
Senate overrides the "Sue the Fuck Out of Saudi Arabia" bill to the tune of 97-1-2.
Supporters of the veto override are dumb-ass, shortsighted fucktards. The Saudi government denies any role in those attacks, and the 9/11 Commission found no evidence that the Saudi government as an institution or senior Saudi officials were involved. Fifteen of the 19 hijackers were from Saudi Arabia, though. And there have long been suspicions that some of the hijackers received support during their time in the U.S. from individuals with possible connections to the Saudi Kingdom.
Supporters of the veto override say those suspicions should be explored in a U.S. court of law.
The Obama administration says it's sympathetic to victims' families, but concerned that allowing such lawsuits would open the door to legal challenges against American officials in other countries.
...
Those concerns were underscored by CIA Director John Brennan shortly before the Senate vote.
"The principle of sovereign immunity protects U.S. officials every day, and is rooted in reciprocity," Brennan said in a statement. "If we fail to uphold this standard for other countries, we place our own nation's officials in danger. No country has more to lose from undermining that principle than the United States—and few institutions would be at greater risk than CIA."

Re: The second Obama term
House overrode the veto as well.
Can't be bothered to read shit, there are elections going on.“Ultimately these senators are going to have to answer their own conscience and their constituents as they account for their actions today,” Earnest said, noting that at least one GOP senator said some of his colleagues had failed to read the bill before voting on it initially. “To have members of the United States Senate only recently informed of the negative impact of this bill on our service members and our diplomats is in itself embarrassing.”
Corker is one of several members who argue the bill is so broad that it could expose the United States to retaliation in foreign courts.
He complained that if the bill becomes law “what you really do is you end up exporting your foreign policy to trial lawyers,” adding that U.S. personnel might find themselves dragged into lawsuits abroad over American drone use in Pakistan and Afghanistan, or even its support for Israel.
Yet he and other senators who expressed similar concerns elected, in the end, to vote for the override.
I hope he sees the same concrete benefit when some third-world shithole wants to sue the U.S. according to their equally shithole laws.Sen. Angus King (I-Me.) said he voted for the override because “concrete benefit” for the 9/11 victims’ families outweighed “speculative detriment” to American officials and foreign relations.

Re: The second Obama term
I dislike Obama, but he's not downright evil like Hillary nor absurdly inept and capricious like Trump.
I don't want a third Obama term. But it'd be better then either of those other two.

Obama presidency started right after I left college (in the middle of the recession) up to now. I remember being scared as shit when I graduated. Life is pretty fucking awesome right now. I'd take another term over what's staring us all in the face, in a heartbeat.
Re: The second Obama term
It is not hard to part of the American economy if you have half a brain.... Appalachia is full of morons who manage to not live with mommy and daddy in the basement, working the coal mines and paying the bills.
The 2008 economy crash hurt a lot of mutual funds and put off a lot of retirements, but for the most part the bar just shifted a little bit. If 50% could take care of themselves before without trying hard, now maybe only 49% can. Problem is, that 1% have the internet now, and everybody has to hear about how the system is rigged, for them, when in reality they themselves are their own worst enemy. Companies are always looking for sane people with good communication skills who are at least half competent and can pass a piss test. That last thing disqualifies SO many people.
I have this big theory I've been building in my head for a few years, a couple paragraphs probably didn't get it across.

First off, no, they're not. Otherwise, 75% of the coworkers I've had wouldn't have been hired. Secondly, most drug tests are very beatable. The hair and sweat variations, though, are a bit more serious.Companies are always looking for sane people with good communication skills who are at least half competent and can pass a piss test. All companies i've worked at were run by fucktards. Rich fucktards, usually with innumerable layers of progressively clueless fucktards insulating them from reality. It's not a random pattern. Gfy.
