General TSA thread

Well, today was nearly irrelevant. Atlanta airport, 2:30pm on a Wednesday is a barren wasteland devoid of humanity. There was zero line, so I went ahead and did the normal people screening to stick with my friend.

No metal (take anything metal off, put in the container for xray scanner)
Liquids must be 3 ounces or less, and all contained in a clear plastic quart-sized bag that you have to take out. (Checking liquids is fine, I think)
No coats (take them off)
No shoes (take them off)
Take laptops out of bag (ipads/etc are fine)
This is pretty accurate, but you'll see exceptions depending on where you are, line length, the situation, etc.

I've never heard the "no coats", but it makes sense because the scanner is looking for density. Bunched up pockets on cargo shorts can trigger it.

Last time I flew in December, they required tablets to come out too.

In Charlotte and Cleveland I've seen dogs sniffing the line and once you got to the scanner, everything was back to the way it was pre-TSA. They were skipping the scanner. Although I believe that had to do with the length of the line as I haven't seen it every time I've been to either place.

I've had them grab groups of people to rush through a line and had them keep their shoes on and just go through the metal detector.

American SS is being directed to grope you more "thoroughly."
Bloomberg reported that airport employees have already been notified at some locations that they need to employ a “more rigorous” and “thorough” screening. The screenings will reportedly include “more intimate contact” than before. The new measure also applies to airline pilots and flight attendants.

American SS thugs ... literally too stupid to do their job unless fondling your sex organs is legalized.
TSA public-affairs manager Nico Melendez told the Redding Record Searchlight there’s another reason for the new policy: It “lessens the cognitive burden for our officers.” That may well be necessary considering that one needn’t have so much as a high-school diploma to get a job as a TSA screener, but it’s hardly reassuring.
Tell me again how the this agency is all about safety if we're hiring the Ralph Wiggums of the world to protect us.
Stratte-McClure, who told NBC News he had undergone “the most intriguing, intense and invasive pat down I’ve had by the TSA since they came into existence,” also “doubted that the new pat-downs would be much more effective than the old ones, which he said didn’t work in the first place.”

Twitter user JE Gallagher, the associate executive producer of the No Agenda podcast, tweeted that the TSA’s latest move is “pure theater to groom Americans to accept tyranny," asking, “When was the last [time] they [the TSA] prevented a terrorist plot?”

Truth be told, the TSA doesn’t have to foil terrorists. In fact, a successful plot on the TSA’s watch would probably only lead to more funding for the agency — as government failures usually do — and even less freedom for travelers. The TSA merely has to make it look like it’s doing something to protect flights — while reducing the “cognitive burden” on its agents, of course.

Did they miss their flight?

When an ex-cop bitches about being profiled or unlafully detained, he probably knows whereof he speaks.
He believes that despite the fact that he has served the public in law enforcement for nearly 30 years, he was a target of racial profiling and that his rights were infringed by what he calls an 'unlawful detention'.

The TSA has returned to the standards of incompetent, slow, unnecessarily fucktarded idiocy that first made them famous. Full on gential groping isn't just legal, it's fucking required. Fuck the TSA, DHS, and all their bosses and employees who should be convicted of treason and executed.

Do the TSA keep the peasants from looking you in the eye?

I mean, that has to be the best part.

Well at least you are spared their stink, and the stink of the chickens and goats they always seem to want to bring on flights.

Well, they have to walk past me to sit down later, so... only briefly spared.

There should be hoses in the regular TSA line just continuously spraying them down.

A delousing station, at the least.
