Trucks are the new pagers/cell phones.

There was a time when only people who needed them had one, now everyone's got one.

Weird to see beaches you can still drive on. That's pretty much banned around here.

Far end of north Topsail Island. Just that bit is drivable, you can't where there are beach houses. The cars in the background are pulled back end-to the water, no more than 10' off their bumpers. Most of them have tents and grills and shit, camped out for the day.

Also I remember you could drive the beach on Camp Lejeune as well, as there are no beach houses there, as long as amphib ops aren't happening.

The sand on which I am parked is all nice and compact, but I was nervous about the entrance.... extremely loose, truck tires more than half buried. But it was fun putting it into 4WD and charging through.

I've gotten laid in a sedan, an SUV, a van, and a minivan. (not counting shared transport).

Those all seem easier than a truck.

The air mattress in the bed of my truck at the drive-in last summer has no idea what you're talking about.

It was a fun, white trash summer.

Never again, but still counts.

I had some shit to get out of my system, after the divorce. It's out.

I have to get stuff out of my system every couple days. Fortunately, my wife is accommodating.

While divorce is no fun, I'm glad I was single when I went through that period of "midlife crisis".

On the other hand, it's six below zero, I have a 40 mile errand, and I don't even know if I want to try it with the electric car...

Subaru F.U.C.K.S.

Got some real mature people over there.

Planning to upgrade this year. Looking at German sedans. I really like the way Audis look but I've heard they're expensive to maintain. I think Benzes are ugly, and BMWs kind of cliche.

Wat do?

5 series BMW is the default for people our age.

I'd recommend a 2020 GS 350 F Sport or LS
