Current: As you can see, we cut out the knee wall so the stairs could overhang and wrap the skirt board. They will be painted and a runner installed. Have to replace all the ballusters and handrail because of the structural changes we made. Old ones would not work (and she didn't care for them anyway). She's looking at old newel posts from old buildings. We are also redoing the floors. The current 'wood' floors are 1/4" engineered builder grade shit floors. And carpet. Changing to 3/4" hickory.

Floors current: Excuse the mess while things are being moved/staged while the floors go in. We stopped working on the stairs when the flooring showed up. We don't use the upstairs, so we aren't missing them yet.

I can't believe the cable puller has a dangly cable hanging outside the wall from the wall mounted TV.

It even looks like an interior wall.

Please see the after picture. Dangly cable was the result of switching from a Roku attached to the back of the TV to a Cube sitting on the . . . green thing.
