Restaurant owner in Baltimore can't get employees to come back to work because they make far more being unemployed.

The "Socialism" subreddit is celebrating this news.

Trump and Fauci have very differing views of how to handle the situation.

Thing is, neither is really wrong. Trump wants the economy going. Fauci wants to protect as many lives as possible. Both are goals we should be striving to achieve. However, both can't be achieved at the same time. Can they?

The funniest bit from the article:
Trump's presumptive opponent in November's election, former Vice President Joe Biden, sought to align himself with Fauci in a tweet on Wednesday by calling up some of Trump's past words and actions.
Biden might want to scale back on the "calling up some of Trump's past words and actions" part. Particularly since he wants us to forget "We must believe women."

Parody, but honestly, probably true.

Subway should also be unaffected.

TBell takes a lot of shit, but they took one such slander to court and determined that their meat was 100% beef.

Also, over the last few years they've stealthily become one of the healthiest fast food chain out there.

McDonalds said their supply chain was unaffected (since they use frozen beef), in contrast to Wendy's who does not.

Which is awesome, but it's also grade e. It's the lowest grade allowed to be sold for human consumption...or has that changed?

You've made me google.

I said earlier it was 100% beef. Kinda. I was remembering a horsemeat/mealworm accusation, and that was proven false. The 88% of the product that is meat is 100% cow.

The other 12% of ingredients, seasonings and shit, have been declared kosher by chemists.

And there is no such thing as USDA Meat grades, so the "Grade-E thing" isn't true.

I have one bank account the IRS knows about, where my income tax refunds go,

I have another bank account the government knows about, where my VA disability money goes.

They sent me a paper check.

Pier 1 wants to call it quits.

Where will people get their wicker furniture now?

This guy says the economy is permanently fucked because of the response to the virus.

Well, he's wrong simply because he used the word "permanently". That's a long fucking time.

I do think a lot of jobs are gone for good, but they will eventually be replaced by new jobs.

For all the businesses that have been lost, a void now exists. Those voids won't exist forever. New businesses will fill those voids, and they will need employees.

By the way, maybe this is a wake up call that our economy should be so service based?

I think things will get pretty normal in 2021... maybe early, maybe late.
