Post-Corona Economy
I've been an Amazon customer for over 20 years. Never had a problem with my orders...until now. Something was supposed to be delivered this weekend. Then they said it was "damaged" and might be late. Now they say it's "undeliverable," sorry we'll give you a refund in 3-5 business days.
My wife also had a separate order that Amazon just gave up on and refunded her.
No idea if "peaceful protestors" set the warehouse on fire or jacked their trucks, or if they're just all sick, or what.

Weird. We’ve been doing more deliveries than normal, with no issues other than taking longer due to their supply chain changes for covid, but have been normal the past month and a half.
We’ve had damaged/late/lost stuff before, usually about once every other year.

Ordered a webcam for homeschool in February. Cancelled it in May, lost in delivery. Arrived two days ago.

Trump administration has been saying they won’t release names of companies that took PPP $$$. Which seems insane, since there’s supposed to be oversight, etc. I figured they’d agree to release all names above $100k. My WSJ news alert (which I will probably disable) just let me know they’ll release names above $150k. Which is entirely reasonable. Anywhere $100k+ is reasonable, imho.

#cancelrent is trending.
It's not about the Broadway show. It's about people in NYC wanting rent suspended and evictions halted.
Let's demand free groceries while we're at it!

"Free food." I mean, when I heard the argument that "we need health care to live, so it should be free!" I wondered where that would end. Like, we also need food, too.
And some think that internet is necessary for the sustainment of life. So that should be free.

That chart tells me that the jobless proportion has ALWAYS been "about half." With a brief blip of "about a third" in the Buhs-Clinton-Bush years (I hated typing that)

Half table capacity in restaurants for spacing means twice as long wait times. FYI.
Two hour wait for a table last night on a weeknight at 8pm.
