What would it take to go vegan?

If veganism were a magical cure-all, I'd probably do it.

Cure-all, AND 20 years.

This, and even then, I'd hate it.

For me, cure-all also means cured of old age.

I went vegetarian once, for a month. It wasn't terrible, but it wasn't fun.

I've given up a lot of fried foods, and most desserts, etc. And that's been decent. But I console myself with bacon + steak.

Only problem is, those extra 20 years are the worst 20.

Right now I'm eating a mixing-bowl sized salad (shredded greens as the base, with sunflower seeds, dressing, some nuts, and either a bit of chicken or bacon) for lunch (first meal), then a large amount of a veggie (asparagus, broccoli, etc) for dinner (with steak/etc)

I think that's as close to vegan was I want to get.

I'd have to go 10 more years + current and future maladies. If the last 10 years were all miserable and pain, then pass.

Vegans have a 13% lower rate of heart disease, but a 20% higher rate of stroke.

Suck it vegans!

To be fair, that's 10 cases of heart disease per 3 cases of stroke. So it's still a net benefit of 7 for vegetarian/vegan group. They probably just need some B vitamins.

Not when you count their increased number of deaths by murder because they're such insufferable cunts.

Weird how the study avoided that topic.

Vegan goes on 30 day carnivore diet
By the end of the 30 days, Parker said she was feeling "super mentally clear" but missing the freedom of eating whatever she wanted, especially in social settings.

"The main mental change I experienced was having way more stable energy and focus throughout the day, literally every day," she said, adding that she no longer experienced energy crashes.

When it came to physical changes, Parker said she noticed some fat loss and increased power in the gym.

"I ended up losing around 2 lbs in the full 30 days," she said. "My physique changed slightly but nothing crazy — I mainly just felt more lean and more comfortable in my body."

Here's a thought, and I know I'm crazy for suggesting this, but any extreme is probably bad. How about a balanced diet?

We'd have to debate what balanced is/means.

Fair, and I'd be open to any diet as long as it wasn't all "one thing".

Well, except potatoes. I was going to link Ireland, but that link is actually useful, maybe.
