Leisher was the one who said he stands on the escalator, fyi.

Or are you fucking with me because of my bad legs, and I can't walk fast?

Maybe he meant the people movers, like at airports, which are often double-lane.

Yeah, this.
I read this as agreeing with him and an admission of doing it. Your defense of the action perpetuated that thought.

I would at least wait till after your June 30th target date to fuck with you at that level.

I do pass people on the people movers because they are normally wider. But it also seems like people walk on them more often. Or, at least when they hear me walking up behind them, they start walking. With escalators, it seems when they hear me stepping behind them, they shift as a sign they aren't going to walk and they don't want to be passed. It's VERY rare that they will start stepping. Never do they clear space for a pass.

At airports now, I just walk around the people movers. Get me a little more exercise.

I normally just want to get out of there. And often walk around movers with stopped traffic because I can walk just a bit faster than them. But prefer walking on them because it's faster still.

That was actually a funny reply to Cake, not you. However, lots of posts flowed in after I hit submit, and for some reason didn't get the "other posts have been made" warning.
You posted it over a day after I did. . . You typed "Racist" as a response and sat on it for a day before hitting submit?! At least you don't jump to judgement! You REALLY wanted to make sure you meant it before posting.
I have no idea why there was so long of a delay. Maybe because I was on my phone and that page was first up, so when I submitted a "quick reply" it never refreshed the page? Who knows? Who cares?

I did on one in Vegas. Typically, I will do whatever the fuck I feel like at the time. Who is anyone else to tell me I'm wrong for standing or walking?
TheCatt wrote: Maybe he meant the people movers, like at airports, which are often double-lane.
True. They're, literally, labeled with a yellow line in the middle. Walkers on the left, standers on the right. I follow the labels and go to the side I feel like being on that day. If I'm traveling alone, I'm usually walking. With the fam, and I'm probably on the standing side.
TheCatt wrote: At airports now, I just walk around the people movers. Get me a little more exercise.
I do that too. I also will regularly use stairs instead of escalators. I burn a few more calories and still beat people to the top or bottom.

If I'm alone, I stand to a side so folks can pass me if I happen to be standing. If I'm with my small children and you try to pass us because you can't wait the extra couple of seconds then you're the asshole. Sorry, but that's a fact. (Escalator only. The wide sidewalks, if people are taking up both lanes, they're the assholes.)

It's an example of people moving in slow motion (or not at all).

Kids/elderly on escalators get a pass, only when an elevator isn't available. Which they always are. So you are moving in slow motion (or not at all).

Gordon posts "Old people drive slow and block me. Fuck them." and everyone celebrates it.

Whatever. . .

One of those is a lot more disruptive than the other. Escalator's what, 15 seconds?

It was a retarded comparison from the beginning.

But by all means, double down and keep it real in my venting thread.

I already admitted earlier in the thread that I'm becoming somewhat unhinged. I'm going to.go ahead and forgive myself, today. I.earned this.temporary insanity.

I think you believe our positions are farther apart than they are as I don't really disagree with you on much here. I, literally, said that I will do both based on my mood, but am still very aware of others and will move for them.
Cakedaddy wrote: Kids/elderly on escalators get a pass, only when an elevator isn't available. Which they always are. So you are moving in slow motion (or not at all).
This I do disagree with completely. First, the escalator is right there, but you're telling the elderly and families they "have" to walk farther to find an elevator? Are you the king of escalators? They should have the same option to choose whatever means of conveyance that you do.

However, after that I'm all for the elderly standing to a side so people, who are inexplicably in such a hurry that 10 more seconds count, can get by them. Not so much for kids because they're tough to keep still, and people do die on escalators. Call me crazy, but sacrificing a couple of seconds seems like a fair trade off so you don't kill or injury someone in your mad rush to save 10% on underwear.
TheCatt wrote: One of those is a lot more disruptive than the other. Escalator's what, 15 seconds?
Exactly.

Also, slow drivers cause more accidents than fast drivers. That's a fact, look it up.

However, I'd be willing to bet you anything that people standing on escalators get hurt far less than people walking or sprinting up them.

You know how every state is legalizing casinos?

Combine those with senior living homes. Win-win! They can play penny slots, hog the pool, eat at the buffet, and never need to be driven anywhere.
Oh my God, that's so depressing.

Don't forget the sex orgies back in the hotel rooms. People over 60 have more sex than any other age group.

I hear that they have sex almost every day.

Almost on Monday, almost on Tuesday, almost on Wednesday...
