Roger that.
Labor markets move more slowly in both cases. Also, the call is for a return to the prior tax rate, so the conditions would be the same.

Doubt it. Even if she wins, getting Congress to go along will be much harder, imho.

I really don't care about that aspect. The insurance industry shouldn't be a jobs program at every one elses expense.

I'm more of the thought that government shouldn't arbitrarily deciding that any industry should stop existing.

Nancy Pelosi Is Worried 2020 Candidates Are on Wrong Track
“As a left-wing San Francisco liberal I can say to these people: What are you thinking?” Pelosi said. “You can ask the left — they’re unhappy with me for not being a socialist.”

Certain Dems have warned the party hasn't learned anything from Trump's victory. Hard to argue those folks are wrong with as left as the candidates are going.

I'll never vote Trump, but all the Dems are so extremely left that I can't vote for them either.

I'm starting to think that Butigigiwhatever is going to start picking up the centrist votes that Biden is beginning to shed. Pete stopped tacking far left, I think when he saw it was hurting Robert Francis more than it was helping. That gives the moderates someplace to go that are starting to realize that Biden is just too old and no longer sharp enough to do this. Unfortunately we still have the problem with minorities not voting for a gay man. So I think that'll mean Warren is the nominee. Which will probably mean that Trump is the President two years from now.

I mean it sincerely... someone that loves him needs to take him aside and talk to him about not continuing this.

I remember when Obama was running. One of my hardcore black Republican friends (out of what, all 10?) voted for Obama, solely because of race. Unsure, but iirc, black voting %ages were higher as well.

I don't think there are enough Log Cabin Republicans or non-voting gays to make that work.

You recall correctly. Everyone thought that Obama may have changed the Presidential electoral map for the Democrats. He did, but only for one Democrat. Himself. In 2016 they saw the increased turnout among African Americans return to pre Obama levels.

Guess they should have stuck to that playbook.

I mean, come on. Aside from the absolute comedy of him winning again, what is he bringing to the table that would make me proud to vote for him?

What is his official immigration policy? How closely does it match what I stated in the immigration thread?

I loved the trade war with China, but he lost me on that one. First his congratulating them on their dictatorship, but the fact that he isn't pushing the real issues behind why the world should be hammering China sealed it for me.

Those issues being: human rights violations galore, state sponsored piracy, state sponsored IP theft, production of CFCs, etc.

Listening to a podcast toady and they were talking about predictions for the election next year. Someone called in and suggested that they think Hillary will end up getting in the race once it becomes apparent the party can't rally around a single candidate. He said her campaign logo/slogan would be 2020 Hindsight, which is actually kind of brilliant.
