Very religious conservative Republican, anti-homo. Former gov of Indiana, brought to the ticket to bolster Trump's conservative credentials.

So The Onion isn't going to be writing articles about him washing his Trans Am while shirtless in front of the White House?

This is a list of what we're hoping he does...Why would you hope for that?
Because as bad as Trump is, Mike Pence is not better?
Pence > Trump. Bernie Madoff in office makes me less nervous than Dipshit Drumpf.

Nah, Pence has a modicum of competence. He might get something bad accomplished. Trump won't be able to get anything accomplished. He'll never be able to compromise or cooperate with anyone in Congress to the degree needed. That makes Pence more dangerous.

He's got a majority in both houses. The spineless reds aren't going to stand up to him because they think he has some Sith powers to teach them.

I don't think they need spines. I think they'll just be too disgusted to play along.

Trump is going to lose his shit once he realizes Congress won't just do everything he wants. Pence would understand, and get more things done.

You place far more faith in bipedal slime than I do.

You know, I've been wondering about Trump's term. We all laughed at his candidacy. We all laughed at the possibility of him being elected. We all laughed at his chances on election night.

What if this fucker does a good job? I mean, wouldn't we be the idiots to think it's a complete impossibility?

I mean, what if the first things he does is push for the dismantling of Homeland Security, the TSA, and the IRS? What he then demilitarizes police? What if he actually does something crazy like introduce a responsible budget to get the country's finances back on track? I realize what I'm saying sounds insane, but isn't this whole situation so insane that we can't discount him doing something good?

Yes, that does sound insane. Impossible? No, but I think perhaps less likely than the sudden unexplained and involuntary levitation of the entire sus domesticus species.

It's said that you wouldn't have had a Reagan without a Carter, first.... but Reagan was The Great Communicator. It would be interesting if Obama were the Carter.

But not much of a spine. When threatened as Gov of Indiana for their religious freedom law, he folded like a cheap suit and came up with a "fix" that by all accounts actually makes it easier to sue someone for their religious beliefs than if they were a non-believer. I have much more respect for the GOv of NC with the bathroom bill and his stance on freedom there.

Activist evangelicals (not the people that simply identify as evangelical, but the ones that actually get out and work for the issues) really don't care a lot for him.

I have no clue as to what Trump will actually do, but I fear that I will not see another actual small government President in my lifetime.

Well, the first thing he wants to do is push through a massive tax cut, and then build a stupid wall, so I'm gonna guess our national debt just keeps getting much, much worse

Hadn't seen that, but I know in his acceptance speech he said his number one priority would be infrastructure spending. During the campaign he promised a trillion dollars worth of that. So yeah, I think he will be as bad on spending as Obama was.

:D Maybe he'll get funding for it by eliminating the IRS?

I read through his entire 100 days plan yesterday. I had ignored it previously as I didnt think he would get elected. The Republicans in Congress are already writing a tax cut bill.

I did not see it mentioned, now that you mention it, but they have certainly tended to be against it,

I read through his entire 100 days plan yesterday.
Day 1: Make America great again.
Day 2: Write memoirs.
