Gender pill

Post by TheCatt »

it absolutely can be. Go ask the girls who can no longer compete in their sports because trans girls are dominating them.
So here I want to distinguish between acceptance and... Accomodations (?). The dolls aren't saying trans girls in high school sports. They're saying its socially acceptable to not fit into gender norms. Which I think is a positive statement and feel that society should be more comfortable with this.

How people integrate, or institution s adapt, is another topic.

That's a fair point, but what happens when you speak out or ask questions? You get attacked and "cancelled".

In a world where, going back to my original statement, the law says kids can't decide to have sex until they're 18, what sense does it make to pretend that can claim their gender, sexual preference, etc. at ages below that? Yet, around the country are parents encouraging it. That's where my question came from.

I know someone (I won't name names or association as Stranger might figure it out and I don't know if he knows...), that is a teenage girl who makes me question our society's shoving of this stuff down our throats. During the height of the Caitlyn Jenner stuff she was going through severe issues. Both family and personal that would drive a young teen girl to act out. And what did she decide? That she was trans and a lesbian. Two years later, and those claims are long gone as she's living as a straight girl.

Anyway, we are technically having two conversations. I seriously have no issue with the dolls themselves, and honestly feel good for people who are ambiguous.

I was more ranting about the forced tolerance and whatnot.

My stepson's stepdaughter (so my step-step granddaughter) was telling my son that she was gay. He monitors their internet usage. He told me, "You know, for a lesbian I've never seen a porn video she was watching that didn't have a dick in it."

She's since had a boyfriend.

That's... A little ookie. ;)

I've never assumed which way my kid would go, especially in the way of sexual orientation. When discussing future relationships he might have I ALWAYS qualified things with, "Someday when you have a girlfriend, or boyfriend because I wouldn't want to presume..." Then whatever .

Really, it wasn't until this year he definitively came out if the closet as straight.

My point being, I let him decide who he was. I didn't need to judge. My dollar says no kid would ever choose the Pat Doll for itself. It's all parents.

Is everyone else here more shocked that Gordon thinks there's a person out there worthy of his kid? :D

There's probably a lot of people out there good enough for my kid.... for a couple weeks.

Just like his old man.

Again, I don't think the dolls are your issue. When you buy dolls/little people that are black, are you forcing your children to be black? That's just nonsense.

Outside of the dolls, I think it's weird for pre-puberty people to be having gender/sex discussions. But I would argue a 14 year old would have a decent understanding or basis on which to have these discussions (or, most 14 year olds). If your 6 year old boy wants to wear a dress, he's not expressing a gender preference, imho. He's playing or dressing up, or wearing something comfortable.

Also, the law lets 13 year olds have sex. And age of consent is lowest at 16, iirc, but there's exceptions for both kids under 16, a couple to few years apart, etc.

Bisexuality and other things get fashionable, and people change a lot at these ages, or they "try on" ideas. I've known a lot of "bisexual" women who have done nothing with women, or, I did in college.

My kid says 50% of the girls in his high school say they're lesbians.... it's a small school, he may have had 100% participation in the poll.

I told him it's fashionable these days, and there's been a thing for a long time for college girls to be "Lesbian Until Graduation" during college. This way they can have their sexual release with girls without the headaches of dealing with boys.

He said he already knew that.

And I told him bi girls were a lot of fun. He had no comment about that.

I agree with all of this. I can understand a child of color wanting a doll to look like them. I even thought the idea of a barbie friend in a wheelchair was understandable and commendable. I just can't remember anyone prepubescent that seemed like they'd like an androgynous doll just like them so they won't feel like an outsider. Let's be realistic, most of those girls that we grew up with like that had zero interests in dolls and later turned out to be bull-dyke lesbians.

That's why I feel like these dolls are for grown ups rather than kids.

That is nonsense, and not my point.

This is where my point lies.

Exactly, and that's fine.

I saw a news story in the past year or two where a lesbian couple was raising their adopted or "we got a donor" son as gay. The news story wasn't negative towards them, and in fact, praised them for being so progressive. The problem is the kid was fucking 5! How the fuck do they know if he's gay when he can't know? It reminds me so much of the lesbian couple who drove their family off a cliff. Some of these parents aren't being progressive, they're being nightmare parents and forcing their own agenda onto their kids.

That's the stuff that bugs me, and maybe it's misdirected at this story, but it's the sort of thing that screams "accept this or we'll cancel you!"

I'm certain at some super progressive forum there's a person arguing about these dolls saying "They're pandering for profit!" :D

P.S. She actually says, "I'm going to kill Superman".

I have no idea how I know that as I never read that book, but I know that's what she says. I like this version better.

Colorado shooter says he targeted kids over gender taunts

I don't remember hearing much about this. I heard one of the kids was trans, and then the story was memory holed. So they went to kill a bunch of classmates because they wouldn't respect her preferred pronouns. We heard much more about a kid in a MAGA hat that sneered at an old hippie indian.

That is very true. I had heard the trans thing too, and almost immediately the story stopped getting coverage.

Her argument is that her profile said "ladyboy" and she wasn't hiding her previous gender.

However, she genuinely seems to think people should want to fuck her (in this case work with her), penis be damned.

Do you think that's mental illness? To think that someone should be attracted to you despite them not being gay? Or entitlement?

I dunno. "I say I'm a woman, so treat me like a woman." But also "Women should be treated no differently from men" or something.
