As someone who knows... nothing about killing animals...

Would it be something like this?
1) Kill it
2) drain the blood (is this necessary?)
3) Skin it
4) DONT PUNCTURE ANY ORGANS
5) Eat the meat parts, like you would a chicken or cow.

You know, in case the word ends and I have to eat my dog.
It's not me, it's someone else.

The other day I was at a buddy's house and I was eyeballing his dog. I looked up at him, he was looking back at me. He said, "You were wondering how much meat you'd get off my dog if you had to eat him, weren't you." He was exactly right.

We've known each other since birth.

Pretty close

1) Kill it
2) Usually don't have to drain the blood, but often depends on the animals. I know with chickens you let them drain somewhat. Think it helps with the flavor
3) gut it. Remove all organs. Try not to puncture the intestines. Most other organs don't really matter. We had a small cut to the intestines today. Stinks to high heaven. Some poop/bile material spilled out on her leg, but didn't really matter in this case because...
4) THEN you skin it. Took poop/bile juice off with the skin so everything was okay.
5) Eat meat parts.

Sure I have. It's a way to preserve meat for extended use in times of emergency by making it almost - but not quite - completely inedible. Like hard tack, but with meat.

Also not really cooked. Today they have it heated up to about 155 degrees to kill off bacteria, but when made in the desert old school it's just dried with some spices and eaten.

I don't like over-cooked (ie medium) meat, but I do like jerky.

And the wife takes her second doe. This one bothered her more because she had her yearling trailing along after her. I had to assure her that the yearling was old enough to fend for itself.

Yes, because Bambi's mom tastes very much better than a full grown Bambi.

Also, if it isn't a trophy buck, we leave the males alone to grow into one big enough to mount (hopefully).

Hey, you have no idea how difficult it is to mount the big ones. They didn't get to be so big by being reckless.

I assumed you were letting the males mount YOU. As one would assume.

Bees are awake and gathering. I put a sugar water feeder on top of their hive today.

Get to work, bees!

Do you use the honey entirely for personal consumption or do you sell it too?

With all the honeybees related die-offs in the news, and the price of honey at crazy levels, I've absolutely plotted how to build a bee empire.

We hope to sell it also. The hive just got started last year. Started with two, but one of the hives emptied out. Looks like they joined up with the other hive. So I'm suspecting the queen died or was killed. That hive was never as active as the one that remains. One day late last fall the active hive was SUPER active. Way more than normal. A couple of weeks later I checked both hives and the slower one was empty. Not only empty of bees, but all the pollen and honey was gone as well. So it looked like they up and moved. That along with the hyper activity in the other hive led me to believe they joined hives.

A hive has two deep brood boxes at the bottom, and when those are 70% drawn out (filled with comb) you can add the medium honey boxes on top. Everything in the two deep brood boxes belong to the bees to get them through the winter and everything above is yours. There is a screen you add between the two zones called a queen excluder. Prevents the larger queen from traveling higher and laying eggs in the honey box.

So once they start producing enough we will get our first and produce to sell after that.

My sister and BIL know a guy that had a bunch of hives. The big money in apiaries is renting the hives out to orchards. This guy would rent his hives out to orchards in FL for about $100k per season (we're talking 100+ hives). They'd warp them in plastic and load them in tractor trailers and take them down for the pollinating season. Then they get whatever honey and wax comes out as well.
