It's about an Appalachian town and what happens when someone sets off an EMP over the United States. A single EMP over the entire U.S? Too early in the book to know for sure. Characters are still speculating. The protagonist, a retired Air Force Colonel, said it would probably take 3 detonated 200 ...

I took note: when I stand next to it, I can't see over the top. I am, or used to be, 6 feet tall. Eyes would be about 5'6" off the ground.

I don't think it is available as an after-market ad-on. Ford Sync And for Cakedaddy, the Ford Taurus X. The Ford Taurus X is a 6- or 7-passenger full-size crossover SUV that was produced by Ford Motor Company in the United States. Because we had that discussion recently. Edited By GORDON on 1267664...

Book - Forstchen - One Second After

It's about an Appalachian town and what happens when someone sets off an EMP over the United States. Forward by Newt Gingrich. Newt should have told the author why this is wrong: "He could of done that." "She couldn't of known." This first happened on page 34, and it has happene...

In my Ford is this technology called "Microsoft Sync" that allows me to use my Bluetooth-capable phone over the car's speakers. I can use it to talk on the phone hands-free (microphone is in the steering wheel), access my phone book in the radio console, even supposedly do texting (though...

Oh, yeah, I remember that one! Another the science is still silly, they're at least internally consistant with it. Yeah, it's time I watched it all from the beginning again. Soon. And speaking of the universe being persistent.... they revisit the black-hole gate more than once (not literally).... i...

I wonder if S4 is when the show jumped to the new network. Hair styles are different, the opening credits no longer show scenes from previous episodes, and suddenly there is a recurring character who is a hot female showing a lot of cleavage and skin tight leather clothes. Season 5, Wormhole X-Trem...

I believe this was stop-motion animation. Looked good.

The message I took away from this movie was, "Hey kids, you'd better appreciate your parents because just about everything else in the world wants to kill you."

Season 2: I didn't like the new characters, and I didn't like how pointless their motivations seemed... until about 5 episodes from the end when suddenly everything tied together and it was like HOLY SHIT. Someone else needs to watch this series to I can discuss all the stuff that got crammed into ...

Still nothing. I'm guessing billions have been spent on a buoy system that can supposedly detect the type of tsunami that hit Indonesia a while back. How often does that happen, once in a hundred years? How many false alarms have we had since Indonesia? why can't they just give me a million of that...

Anyone know anything about products like this?

http://www.amazon.com/Logitec....&sr=8-1

I can't imagine you'd want to use that while on battery, but for watching DVDs/playing music in a hotel room it might be good. I have noticed my laptop speakers sort of suck.
