Hmmm.

Some public assistance with some way to figure out if they can do public service work?

I like Thib's idea... completely free (law-sense, not cost) web hosting, etc.

I'm in favor of immigrants with skillz and that want jobs we don't want.

laissez-faire, if only to see how it really works.

On the other hand, what about drugs, etc that end up killing people since they weren't tested and such? People can just sue back, but what if the company goes bankrupt first?

Yeah, I like the protecting of land/nature/etc.

Coal plants, but with scrubbers/etc for example.

Flat tax good, but some per-person tax credit or something, so the poor are quite as taxed, but rich aren't significantly over-taxed.

Voting, but with super-majorities instead of simple majorities?
Voting, but only on laws that get out of "Congress" (or whatever replaces it)?
Voting, but only on items approved by the supreme leader?

What about a graduated unemployment system? Small check for those not working, larger check for those doing "public service", but the check slightly diminishes to nothing each week to increase motivation?

But what about personal automated transportation? The flexibility of cars, without the driving hassle? Could have different sizes available, pretty much there on demand, etc?

I like the central/south america idea.

And Afghanistan is poor for a reason, lack of natural resources and all.

Interesting, considering only about 70 people are killed (on average) each year by lightning in the US.

Lesse, 3000 were killed in just that year... so lightning needs about 42 years to catch up.
