laissez-faire, if only to see how it really works.

On the other hand, what about drugs, etc that end up killing people since they weren't tested and such? People can just sue back, but what if the company goes bankrupt first?

Flat tax good, but some per-person tax credit or something, so the poor are quite as taxed, but rich aren't significantly over-taxed.

Voting, but with super-majorities instead of simple majorities?
Voting, but only on laws that get out of "Congress" (or whatever replaces it)?
Voting, but only on items approved by the supreme leader?

What about a graduated unemployment system? Small check for those not working, larger check for those doing "public service", but the check slightly diminishes to nothing each week to increase motivation?

I didn't read the whole thing...

But what about personal automated transportation? The flexibility of cars, without the driving hassle? Could have different sizes available, pretty much there on demand, etc?

Where does everyone want to live? The state that rocks the house the most. Let states compete by having their own vastly different political and social structures (within the rough boundaries of the constitution, of course ... certain rules must be kept) and thus turn state politics into another fo...

I disagree, I believe the electoral college was a way of allowing for a presidential election on such a grand scale in a reasonable amount of time. If, back in the day (think signing of Constitution era), we waited for every popular vote to be cast and taken to D.C., it would have been time for ano...

Interesting, considering only about 70 people are killed (on average) each year by lightning in the US.

Lesse, 3000 were killed in just that year... so lightning needs about 42 years to catch up.

$21.8M. I had expected more, actually. That's less than 3 million people. But Moore will nevertheless claim it's a plurality of some sort. He was on 60 minutes last night, being served the fattest softball questions ever. He was sorta funny/entertaining, but I still have the "documentary"...

If you ever find yourself in a situation without a bootable hard-drive, have one of these handy. It's a bootable CD-ROM image with lots of utilities pre-loaded so you can check out your system.

Ultimate Boot CD

Just dl it, burn it, and have it handy just in case.
