AWS questions
The app I'm working on can be put on AWS. I'm currently working with it via Docker Desktop. Which is a containerizing thing. Creates a virtual machine on my PC and that machine is running Apache, and other pieces. It also might be running MYSQL or MariaDB, but I've just been using my own old MYSQL s...

Having been working on an app that I can self host, or host on the cloud, I would say it's not that hard. Pretty much every change I make applies to both versions, etc. You must be doing something wrong.

including a DB who would have been a starter The article I read said he was behind two others. And the LB was pretty deep too. The articles I'm exposed to are from the home page of microsoft edge. So I don't know which way they lean, etc. I don't have a 'favorite' source. I just see a Michigan head...

Google confirms. . . That makes way more sense. I only read one article, and they never used his real name.

That's just what they want you to believe. . . But seriously, they don't have to worry about my machine. They state the minimum specs, and I have to meet them. They write for Windows. They don't write for my video card, CPU model, RAM type, printer, etc. This isn't the 90's. They write one program a...

If they aren't mining data from your stuff, why are cloud based options cheaper than self hosted options? Why is it cheaper for them to do more for you? Quickbooks has REALLY been pushing their online crap for many years. It's to the point now where you have to pay a HUGE mark up to keep it out of t...

But cheating is so much easier. . .
I actually know nothing about that fan base reaction. I would assume we spend about the same. Michigan has some bank as well.

No. The answer is that a cap is a stupid idea. Caps work for professional sports because of reasons. They won't work for college sports because not all schools are equal. Some are really big, others are not. If the crappy colleges want their turn to win the big game, they just need to get better. I ...

Generally speaking, salary caps are so poor teams can compete with rich teams. Wouldn't 'fair' be both teams being allowed to spend the same amount? Thus, one team not being able to 'buy the championship'.

Afraid of a little competition? You mad you can't just buy the championship?
I didn't read the article, so don't know the full details/context. But how far off is my question? Why does OSU NEED the big budget?

The tool I'm using has an AI you can use to ask questions. It's really quite helpful. I can often enter something like: Why am I getting "this error message" with this code "copy/paste of a chunk of code". More often than not, it will come back with a pretty good explanation: Wel...

Still playing. We got a mammoth recently. Our transport profits are way up. Have been flipping ore. Buying the resources, refining them in Thetford, transporting to Bridgewatch/Lymhurst. Have stopped gardening as using the focus on the ore pays better. Not killing it, but make about .9-1.7 million p...

What I'd genuinely like to see happen is as follows: -Every single coach who knew gets a show cause for 10 years. -Every win vacated for the past three years. -Every player from those teams barred from being associated with the team for 10 years. -Bowl ban for 5 years. Is this what you'd like to se...
