AWS questions

Took the plunge into AWS. Fuck AWS. It's hard. I went with AWS EC2 stuff because that's what I was able to find support/documentation on. So it might not be the best choice, but not knowing anything about anything, I took the path that at least had some instructions. I'm, guessing I'll be at about $...

This is unacceptable. What were you thinking scheduling this for tonight?

Mean Girls (2024)

It's a musical. Didn't get much past 10 minutes. Basically the same movie (many of the same lines), for at least the first 10 minutes.

SQL question

Good catch. I do have a separate table for tech assignments. This is the only duplicate in all of my data. . . I figured it would be easier to also have this here, so I don't have to open up yet another table, and create an even more complex query. But, you point out a pretty big flaw, so I'll be re...

SQL question

Reworded the question to the AI and got a different answer. Funny thing is, I asked the question, and it gave me an example with pseudo code. Which might work for you guys! But not me. I copy/pasted the same exact question, and it gave me actual code. So it picked up that I need a 'better' answer. T...

SQL question

Ok. I'm using MYSQL. I have two multiselect widgets that store your selections as an array. One selects status, the other selects techs. So the first could have the value [O, C] Second could have [1, 3] I need to select records from tableA where status equals O or C and techs contains 1 or 3. The te...

Snow White and the Evil Queen (2024)

I'm starting to question if this movie is actually being made.

Or, it could be pretty cool if they could make the whole movie where the other characters are never actually on screen.

Troy and I just finished two games. I think we won the first one. I know we won the second. The second was interesting because the start boxes were in opposite corners, and were pretty small. So we started with me as the back line. I've changed my build order, and it's working better than the old. O...

Also, "politician sets policy because megadonor asks" isn't exactly an Earth shattering headline. But it should be? maybe? And seriously, name a politician that isn't taking bribes doing favors for donors. You can't because they don't exist. It's to the point that we actually do expect/as...

Hold Q down to draw on map with left mouse. Hold Q and erase with right mouse. Hold Q and middle mouse button to ping. F3 sends units to last ping location. You can set units to roam freely, but I don't see any option to limit where they roam. Select the units, and it's one of the buttons in the low...

I read that if you like to turtle, Core is what you want to play. If you like to strike early, Armada. But I don't see the difference yet. Seems like core hits hard at the beginning. They sent one T1 tank once, and I had to stop it with my commander. He took out about 25 early units and 5 power/extr...

I can keep up with the micro management of everything, right up until i send a mass of units off to do something. Then I get caught up in watching my units do there thing. When it's over, I realize everything I've been ignoring is out of hand.

Did my first field test of my app yesterday. I wish I hadn't taken so long to do this. It's nice having something that's collecting all of the data I want, in the way that I want it, instead of shoehorning everything together with different stuff that's not a perfect match. That being said, the tool...

I'm sorry you can't move right into your forever home. How about you do what most people do and buy what you can afford right now. Spend some years fixing it up and throw some sweat equity into it. Then, along with the appreciation, move in to your forever home that costs way more than you can affor...
