My observations:
-Stan Lee saved a kid during Ock and Spidey's first fight scene when they were on the building with May.
-Dr. Connor, Pete's professor, is the Lizard. He is research limb regeneration when he tests his serum on himself and occasionally turns into one of Spidey's oldest foes.
-Osbourne's kid becomes the Hobgoblin. That's from the comic and was hinted at towards the end of Spidey 2.
-If you were wondering, May does indeed know. She admitted it on her death bed in the comic. I like how the movie people have decided to keep that a secret.
-All of the people who found out his identity in this film know in the comic, although they all didn't find out at the same time.
-I was curious about Ock and May's age difference in the films because I think I remember them dating in the comic. No joke.
-Ash...er, I mean Bruce Campbell is a fucking riot.
-John Jamison becomes a wolf creature after he goes into space in the comic. Although, I think he'll be written out of the storyline in the films.
Where are they going to go with this series now? The Lizard, JJ's wolfman, and the Hobgoblin are all available to go. As is Venom who, if I remember correctly, was shown in the first film in his human form, Eddie Brock.
Hobgoblin is definately going to be a future part of the series, but he should be a "write-off" character as he was in the comic. (Spidey kicks his ass easily.)
The problem is the biggest villains are basically on the sideline waiting for their shot. Kraven is the big one that I hear the most. Venom and Carnage are easily the next two most requested and it makes sense to put them both together into one film. After that is the originals like Mysterio, Electro, The Vulture, and The Sandman.

Good flick. I'd heard it was excellent, and it was still better than I thought it would be.
And I'm the guy who suppoosedly hates everything new because of my teen angst.

Dr. Connor was mentioned in the first movie (it was the lab assistant job Pete lost because he couldn't show up on time, before doing the photo thing).
And there was an age difference in the comics (though not as great as in the movie) between Otto and May. And they almost got married in the comics until Hammerhead showed up and killed Doc Oc for the 4th or 5th time.
