Sure, you want characters to be accessible and realistic so kids don't kill themselves try to achieve it or get down on themselves because it's unattainable, but Disney is trying to sell shit, and uggos don't sell shit.
I don't like it, but only because I think she looks too grown up, and honestly, high maintenance. She went from every girl to a real housewife.

Evil woman from Tangled was based on Counselor Troi from ST:TNG.

Also, in the makeover, the only real change I see is that they gave her eye lashes.

Did they slim the hips? Hard to tell with the dress color change, and change of viewing aspect.

I think the biggest change is Pixar animation to classic Disney animation. With Pixar, she looks younger and cherub faced. With Disney, she looks like she knows her way around the bedroom.
