Joseph Gordon Levitt, looking like a completely different person, is a hitman in 2044 hired by a future crime syndicate to kill people they send back in time.

The fun really starts when Bruce Willis arrives, and JGL realizes it's himself 30 years older.

I heard a lot of hype about how this is the best sci-fi movie in years, so I went in with pretty high expectations, and was surprised to find that I did enjoy the movie.

The acting is exceptional, the effects outstanding, casting was close to perfect, direction was really good, and the story is solid.

That's not to say it wasn't without flaws. Notice my compliments went downhill? All were above average, but the weakest part of the film, as you can imagine in a film about time travel, was the writing.

The story is sound, and you can walk away without bitching about any ridiculously obviously plot holes, but...

The is a very, very significant plot point that has somehow been hidden during the marketing of this film. This plot point is the driving factor for the entire story, and given any thought, it makes you question everything. In fact, the film is quite clever in pointing this out during Jeff Daniels' first appearance in the film. It's a tongue-in-cheek moment that if you're not paying attention, you'll miss.

I highly recommend you just take Jeff's advice and enjoy the film. Debate and discuss the shit out of it afterwards, but if you look for the flaws during the film, you'll miss an entertaining ride.

8 out of 10.

Just did a spoiler thread and there are a lot more problems with the story than I realized.

I guess that's what happens when you really think about any time travel movie.

Same here.  But holy jeebus of fuck, there was nothing but bullshit insanity with the time travel rules.  They were almost immediately disregarded after being established.  If you can look past that major, huge point during the last three quarters of the film, you'll be fine.
