1) no weapons, neither ship or personal, in case any hostiles are found
2) no astrobiologists or whatever in case they encounter new life and someone needs to analyze it
3) medical unit not configured for women because ... they don't get sick I guess
4) complete lack of protocol when it comes to interacting with an alien atmosphere, alien lifeforms, etc., because you can breathe and touch whatever you want with no consequences
5) dumb-ass ulterior motives that include introducing alien DNA to your crew on purpose
I'll let the last one slide because that's one of the "Hey, these fuckers are evil," plot points, but the other four make the trip a deathtrap.
