Playing on UO Second Age.

Had a long description of the server and the events that have been happening, but the shitty ass fucking hotel internet took it away from me.
I see a huge potential for fun. Already have a guild of 148 people that I want to tear apart. However, they are mostly newbs and will only be targeting the officers of the guild. The others won't fight, and the guild doesn't war. I monitor their vent, I know where they live, and they use dumb spell combos.
The server is as accuarate as they can be to T2A era. No recall between lands, have to use the portals. Horse have stamina. No magic in towns. Ya, that one sucks, but, that's the way it was. Precast-hally-whack is the standard mage template. When they make a rule/game change, they quote old change logs or HOC logs to support the change. They seem pretty serious about accuracy. Any discrepencies are due to not knowing, or not having the time to change it yet. They don't have anything different in there on purpose.
Skill gains are slow. As in, like they were on OSI servers.
You can't farm gold at the tailor.
You can own multiple houses.
No magic in town.
Horses have stamina.
Liche area is popular with blues and reds.
I see people in game all the time.
Can't macro resource gathering, but you can macro skill gain.
Maydchen (after an entire night of camping an IDOC under VERY hostile conditions) secured the TKV forge area. So, we own that on yet another shard. Long story short, that was fucking awesome. The huge fights, the crazy danger, the cunning actions, etc. Lost two house deeds during the whole opperation to PKs. But in the end, she won the spot, in normal Maydchen style. Turned some people red. Scored no loot. We only wanted the spot.
So, anyway, if anyone wants to play, let me know. I could use the help tearing some guilds apart. However, we don't have large sums of cash to hand out this time. All the money is in real estate (of course) and going into our own training. So, other than getting a house to train in and a sparring partner, you are on your own.
If things progress as I have planned, I'll need access to the old TKV site again. Had I gotten screen shots, I'd be making an update today.

Participated in my first fight. It was against a macer. My 83 hit points didn't do too well. I didn't die, but I had to keep running.
It was during the 'server war' time. The time just before the server resets that is not saved. So, anything you do doesn't count. So, I spent a bunch of money on potions and stuff, set up my macros, and headed up there. It was good practice.
Went to the Brit graveyard of course. I was attacked by the very first person I ran into. The macer. He was much faster than me. I'm on crappy HI Internet. I started my standard combos, hit the heal potions when needed, etc. First macro I realized I forgot: Paralyze. Duh. I could never hold him still. I broke from the action to set that one up. Rejoined the fight. He had trapped pouches of course. I just kept rapid firing the para trying to run him out. Other people attacked him and he'd run away. Probably resetting his pouches. Damn this slow Internet. When he'd get low, I'd try a combo. He'd always get a heal and a potion off just in time. He was killing alot of people too. No idea of the skill level of the other people though. Killing me would have been no great feat either. 83 hit points, no armor, slow internet. Anyway, I also now know that I'm going to need to make extra sure to carry red potions. The mace was knocking my stamina down quick. Always carried and modest amount. . . but may need to bumb that up a bit. Going to start making my alchemist tomorrow. No way I'm buying all these potions. Anyway, much fun was had. I scored no kills, but at least I didn't die. I would run till there were friendlies (at least, not attacking me) on screen to stop to fight. They would normally attack him, not me. Good. Going to keep training and can't wait to get into a real fight.

Instead of the standard exp/ebolt combo, build an easy uo macro to do an exp/start a purple potion countdown/ebolt-throw purple potion combo.
Could be a decent way to use a pure mage.

That won't work because the potion uses a target cursor as well. So I would drop the explosion, but I'd have to throw the potion immediately, else the ebot cursor will over ride the potion cursor and then I blow up. And I haven't seen anyone use purples in motion yet. They've been thrown at me, but only have I was para'd. So not sure if people are just not that lame, or if it's disabled somehow or illegal.

Got PKed last night. Actually, got steam rolled. Was farming gold and saw some reds coming in from the left. I ran right, picked a spot off the path and hid. They all ran past me. Suckers. . . They ran back the other way passing me again. Hiding is cool. Then they all ran past me again, then paused and ran back to where I was hiding. They all started precasting really nasty spells. Fuck. They have tracking. I thought only TKV did that. One started casting reveal, and so I made a break for it. Boom, zing, splah and I'm down to 4 hit points. I cast recall and get the target cursor. I'm madly clicking my rune to get out of there. No go. I go down to the four of them. I think it was lag that gave me my targeting cursor to click my rune with. I think I was dead on the server well before it showed up. They loot me dry and leave through a gate. Fuckers gonna just leave me there. I was on an island with no way to travel as a ghost. Followed them for a while when another victim got a gate to town. I hopped through it and ressed.
I'm going to have to start recruiting people, or join another guild. Won't be able to take care of bidness by myself.

heheh Actually looked back at past threads to find which server you started on. All I could find was another thread with a reference to it where you said I was mean and didn't join. And back then, I said it was because it was a dumb server. What server was it? Was it really dumb?

I dont remember the server. And I think as I started playing you picked up a contract, somewhere, and you were too busy. Again. Like when we all started playing that one NWN expansion.
Or I just tell myself you were working in order to dull the pain.

Well, whatever it was. It was a bad server and it's not even around any more. So, I saved you from it. UO Second Age is way better. I'm going to get a hold of Jav and see what he's up to.
It really is good. I wanted to spend enough time on it to know I was going to be there for a while before inviting other people. Didn't want to 'break any more hearts'. I'm currently hooked and can't wait to exact some revenge. But, since I don't 1v1, it's difficult.

Macro a bard. Don't know if you played those much, but they make good money with little to no investment. Start with Magery and resist and tailoring. Buy instruments (there are no newbied apparently). Macro music and hiding in town over night. Next day/night, macro provocation with an animal on the other side of a long table (AI pathfinding doesn't get the animal around the table). Make him attack you. Macro that over night. Next day, you have enough music and provo that you can start working with it. Macro provo for two nights and it's going to work really well. Your strength is still pretty low, so don't get hit with stuff. Can make crazy money with Titans/Cyclopses, Ophids, liches, etc. Use money to train magery on Gordon.
