My wife has been missing the MMOs and was hoping that Archeage would fill the gap. It's not right now, and she couldn't hold it any longer. She went server shopping and found:
UO Renaissance - www.uorenaissance.com
That website has the client download pack that includes UOAutoMap and Razor. We very easy to get connected. Download, install, start razor, create character.
We are farming gold right now. Of course there are houses everywhere. Very established community at this point. But, I thought I still saw some spots for smalls here and there. The server claims to have 430 people on at about 10:30pm EST. At midnight right now, 445 people. Lots of people in the towns, all seem to be training skills. Have no ventured out of town, except between moongates. I'm collecting wool from sheep and cotton, while doing escorting.
This IS Renaissance. So, Trammel. I'm guessing there is a VERY low PK population. Nothing to support that except that there is Trammel. And if there is Trammel, hard core PvPers will be turned off. So, this might create a good window for us! This will be a short term project. It will get Stranger's feet wet with a REAL MMO! And gives us something to Multi until Rust, ArcheAge, etc kicks in.
That's pretty much it. I don't have big plans here. But, it's nice to see this old friend. Almost 20 fucking years old, and this game has yet to be touched. And honestly, doesn't feel as dated as other 20 year old games. As far as big plans, maybe I'll be surprised and there's stuff to do here. Hard to say. Only been on for about 2 hours now.

Correction. I was told there was Trammel. But, I see no evidence of it. Skimming the forum, people speak badly of Trammel. And, Trammel came way after Ren. So, I don't think Trammel is here.

I'm game to DL it and give it my time during lunches and lulls at work. My nighttime interest would depend on other people's interest.

I'm tempted but I can't do it. Rust will snag me when it's back though.

AiA stands for "sneaking into the TKV forge and killing Gordon before getting banned from the DTMAN forums"
It doesn't make sense phonetically but has a nice ring to it.

Berzerker used to beg us for the location of our forge, since we knew where he lived. "It would only be fair that we know where you live so we can attack you there". Ummmmm. But Troy actually took the time to do some research and found us. It's not like it was top secret. . . we just weren't going to say! But, you didn't ever find our secret tower where we stored all of our good stuff. We even found your house in Trammel!

I can't remember if you found my personal Trinsic house or not. The one with my faction guild on it.

I don't remember either. Where was it? Would have to check the pictures to see if we have any there. We knew of the two story by the pass through the mountain to T2A though.

I'm playing aswell now! Something I can actually play on this ancient laptop while on the road. Would be cool if everyone else joined, was too young to join you all back in the day.
