Don't know if this is going to happen or not, but I loaded it up and took a look around and I see it is fairly populated. Half the people on this capture are actually moving around doing shit, nit just bot spamming.

1) What's the shard population? 2) How dickish are the admins? 3) Wtf is up with all that shyte around Brit bank I don't remember? Â Silver gate, bridge blocked off by Lord Blackthorn's emblem, random podiums with books and dudes with purple elk masks?
UO was such a product of the times. It's like trying to recreate the feel of a mid '80s arcade or going back to the times before cars were made with brakes.

QUOTE Good luck with that. Thanks, that felt like a really sincere wish for good fortune. It was, honestly.
I just know I won't be joining you.

I feel a similar way. It's hard to recreate what that game really felt like at launch.

QUOTE QUOTE I feel a similar way. It's hard to recreate what that game really felt like at launch. Part of the UO "feel" was the fact that it was probably the first graphical MMOG almost anyone played unless you shelled out serious cash back in the original NWN days. Â You can't mimic what that feeling was the first time you logged on, the first forest or dungeon crawl you went on, the first PvP fight you engaged in. Â It's like trying to simulate the first time you got drunk. Â It will never, ever be the same and some of the appeal of nostalgia is that you know it ain't coming back. Accidentally clicked on this instead of games but had to comment.
I agree that it will never feel the same.
HOWEVER, I often get a similar feeling when starting a brand new player UO shard. After a few months or so it goes back to being boring, but for those few months it's usually a blast with everyone out in the world and doing things.
