Actual title is "Professor Layton and the Case of the Curious Village".

The story has Professor Layton and his...something (it's never explained if it's his son or some kid he mentors or whatever)...Luke arrive in a small village to solve a mystery left behind by a rich man whose has recently died.

The story is a bit silly and if you're paying attention, you'll easily figure out a big secret of the town pretty early on. However, the puzzles are pretty nice. They range from simple to deceptive to pretty tough. None of them should stump anyone with a good IQ, but a few might give you fits.

There are 120+ puzzles within the main storyline and additional puzzles can be downloaded for free. Even more puzzles are opened up by completing various tasks, however these puzzles are simply for enjoyment and have nothing to do with the story.

The only real complaint I have about the game are the hidden hint coins and puzzles. Sometimes you're just pixel hunting to find them. You don't have to find them, of course, but I'm not sure why the designers went this route.

Overall, if you like puzzles, I highly recommend this game.

8.5 out of 10.
