Got my copy of PC Gamer today and it came with a letter from Kristen Salvatore who was the EIC of Games For Windows magazine announcing it went under and the bulk of your subscription would go into PC Gamer.
Too bad. Oddly enough, in recent months they've actually had a very anti-corporate vibe. Plus, their best feature was Tom vs. Bruce. Here's hoping PC Gamer steals it.

First "PC Games Magazine" stopped putting ratings in the mag. "The industry changes so fast, just go online if you want the ratings where they are all updated." Stupid stupid stupid. I can't access the internet from my toilet where I read 99% through that mag. Then they changed their name to "Games for (We're not selling out, honest!) Windows." That's when I let my subscription die and I became a 1-game-mag reader. Just renewed my subscription to "PC Gamer" for another 2 years, last week ($2 cheaper if you order through amazon.com, and you get a $10 coupon for your next amazon order).
I still miss PCXL, personally.
