Fuck EA up the ass with a chainsaw.
Where's the laws that state a developer MUST clearly state what's in the software on the outside of the box like food manufacturers have to do?
I mean, what happens when you buy a piece of software with StarForce or this spyware shit in it and you want to return it, but Best Buy's policy is to not allowed returns on opened software?

I don't have an issue with in game ads, if they make sense.
But if they are going to be making money off and me by selling the info to other companies and such the least they can do is lower the price of the game. I would still rather not have EA watching what sites I go to but I could possilbly stomach it a bit more if they were cutting me in on the deal.

I don't buy shit from Worst Buy. & this shit is still legal cos most of the old bastards that make laws still think that "internet = world wide web = internet explorer = porn = BAD FOR CHILDREN." This latest attempt at legalizing spyware installation is pathetic. Games aren't software anymore, they're bills or resolutions with assloads of unwanted riders tacked on.

Right now everyone who is playing the game is just beta testing the ads program. I believe I read on gamespot that the ads wouldn't begin until the first of the year.
EA wants to be able to show people how many users they have and how many people can see their in game ads.

And you know, if they sold the game for ten bucks and advertised that they'd make money by farming users' web habits, there's a good chance I'd give it a shot.
But this is like paying to see a movie in the theater and being subjected to commercials for Coca Cola AFTER THEATER OWNERS BROKE INTO YOUR HOUSE TO SEE IF YOU WERE A SODA-PURCHASING FAMILY.

Co-worker bought the game. Said it looks great, from a strictly graphics POV. Say's he's taking it back for a refund. The ads he could live with. The obnoxiousness of them he can't stomach. He said you feel like you're stuck in an on-line ad. The ads are all over the things you're trying to hide behind. So you can't look for your opponents and just sort of tune them out.
