1. Firefighter gets married. 2. Cop says she attacked him in the middle of the night after responding to another incident. 3. Cop shoots her dead.
WTF?

Yeah, context would be nice. I'm having a problem linking up #1 to #2. Are you saying the Firefighter (she) marries the Cop (he)? And then after responding to a fire she returned home to attack her husband who then shot her?

Oh, they were a gay couple? I didn't know Kansas had gay marriage yet. Good for them.
Sad story, though.

Him, not her.
What the hell was the guy doing out at 2:30 a.m. on his wedding night? Just seems odd that he's attacking a cabbie, then turns on the cop, yet there's no mention of anyone else around? Was he drugged up or drunk out of his mind? Did he fight with his new wife? What made this guy lose his faculties to the point that he could get this angry on his wedding day? And apparently he did some damage to the cop too.
If I had to guess, I'd go with drugs/alcohol + a domestic situation.

I'm still confused about how the cop didn't recognize his new husband before shooting him.
I don't think I'm getting my brain around this one for some reason.

Cop wasn't married to him. The cop came to help the cab driver who was being attacked by the firefighter.
There is no mention of where the firefighter's bride was during the incident.

Oh, wait, the cop and the firefighter weren't just married to each other?
Well, that changes the story a bit. I think I should reboot my brain and start over at the top of this thread.

1) There is no gay marriage 2) The cop did not know the firefighter.
