Jason Collins comes out.
We've had openly gay women in the WNBA, tennis, and LPGA, but this is the first guy is one of the "big four" team sports (NFL, NBA, MLB, and NHL).

I'm reminded of something from Jeselnik:
"They're saying that a professional athlete from a major sport is going to come out as openly gay. Sports writers wonder if he'll be ostracized for his decision, or congratulated for quarterbacking the New England Patriots to three Super Bowls."
