- Tea: diluted with fillers like lawn grass or fern leaves

That's interesting.  I have been drinking more hot tea both because it is winter and because of this diet I am on and it is zero calories.

The other day I tried a new one, some non-brand name thing... I don't even remember the name because I steeped one teabag out of it and thought, "This tastes like fucking weeds and grass."  And then I threw the rest of the box away.  So now I wonder.

I guess I will stick to the Earl Grey and Oolong.

Yeah, I wish they'd name names.  In fact, it'd be a better punishment than any fines. Make the brand and manufacturer well known to the public.

For tea, I usually drink the Bigelow stuff. (Normal Lipton is good for iced tea.) Earl Grey is great, but try English Teatime (blue box). It's delicious. Mint Medley is a good no caffeine product as well. Loads of flavor.

Ha, yeah, I decided to stick to the Bigelow brand.

I will try the Teatime, I see it at my place.

I've heard pretty much all the olive oil you buy is shitty and diluted, and unless you press that shit yourself, you'll never get 100% pure.

I think I posted the olive oil article a few months back.

Apparently, if you buy cheap olive oil, you're most likely not getting olive oil.

Seriously, how can you tell?  I've been given Earl Gray and other such teas a few times, and they all taste like boiled lawn clippings to me.

I just don't get tea.

Absolutely!  I've long said that one of the very few good things government can do is provide impartial information to consumers.  They should have an office that just buys up samples of every product, examines them carefully to see what is in them and how they are made, and publishes the results.  That's it, no judgments or spin, leave that up to the public.

That's the one good thing government could do for us.  But they don't.

There's no cash to be made.  Not unless they ask for bribes from the offenders.

I have another buddy like that.... he compares to the taste of iced tea to, if I recall, "Sweat water wrung out of some underwear and strained through dirty socks."

I don't get it.  Y'all must be tongue deaf.

Write the Republicans and tell them that's one thing they can do that nobody could argue with...logically.

I've converted a lot of coffee people to tea thanks to Earl Grey, English Teatime, and Mint Medley.

Earl Grey is a harsher flavor and will not appeal to just anyone. I think it's the #1 tea in the world because of Captain Picard.  :D

English Teatime is seriously delicious. It tastes like it already has sugar in it.

Mint Medley is like drinking a subtle piece of mint gum.

Also, black tea fights heart disease and green tea fights cancer.

Racist.  You saying the black tea can't do something?

The only thing worse than tea is coffee.

EDIT: Oh, I forgot wine.  The only two things worse than tea are coffee and wine.

Coffee << wine.  I've had some good wines.  Partial to icewine, actually.

wine >> tea >> coffee

Icewine delicious, but expensive, and a bit sweet sometimes.
