The optimist in me wants to believe their new leader has a plan to turn the country around and, with google's help, make NK the jewel of southeast asia within 20 years.

The realist in me thinks google is going to be building a NK-approved firewall in their country to help further oppress the people under the guise of giving them more freedom.  Also he might not be allowed to leave.

Fixed.

Google pulled out of China because of the intrusive gov't.  How's North Korea less insane?

Nothing hippie about it... if I had google's power, I could turn any backwards 3rd world country around in 10 years.

NK has a new figurehead with, granted, probably with zero power.  Would be nice to think maybe they realized they were insane and one of the biggest failures on the planet, government-wise.

Even if they are helping with a firewalled connection to the rest of the world, it would still be an improvement over what it's like now.  And eventually those firewalls come down...

Maybe Google is acquiring NK. You gotta figure it's got growth potential. It's undervalued, because the current Commie owners have run it into the ground. However, any country full of Koreans could kick ass under the right circumstances.
