Unplug TVs during critical moments of the Super Bowl.
I know, or at least I'm pretty sure, we talked about this once before, and apparently a bunch of people went ahead and did it.
Honestly, I really like Kimmel over the other two assholes, but I have no respect for this bit. I think it's a completely asshole thing to do, and on top of that, I think he could have put people in harm's way.
I've seen lots of fights over channel changing and/or this exact "prank".
Here's a good idea, "Find people who are emotionally invested in something, then at a critical moment make sure they can't experience it, then stand there with a smug grin on your face."
Seriously, what does he think is going to happen? People watching the game are going to say, "Ha! Boy you got me! That's hilarious! I'm so glad you showed me how meaningless the past 4 hours have been while I watched an event that occurs once a year! Thanks for turning it off with literally 1 second remaining and the outcome still up in the air! Let's be best friends, hug it out, and have a beer!"
We all know what's far more likely to be the outcome: an ass whooping.
There's a smugness and a superior attitude that goes along with a prank like this, and honestly, it's very elitist. "I'm better than you because I don't care about sports, so that gives me the right to ruin it for you."
I don't get what's funny about being an elitist asshole, encouraging it in others, and putting your viewers in harms way.
