Article - Which shows why the average person shouldn't be in charge of where their taxes go.
Most interesting to me was the 20% of my income taxes going to Medicare/Medicaid, which I always thought were covered by my 2.9% (5.8% with employer contribution) Medicare tax.
Also interesting is the absence of employer contributions for Medicare/SS.

People would NEVER choose to have their tax money go to pay for Cowboy Poetry Slam in Utah, or wherever the hell it was.
Then there wouldn't be a federally funded cowboy poetry slam, and what a loss for the nation.
