I went with "in love" but I think "getting some" would be a better way to phrase it.
EDIT: Gordon, wouldn't he would be at the top of the man-pile? I've always thought he'd be a pitcher rather than a catcher. (You know, in my daydreams and all)

"Top" and "Bottom" as used in that link aren't necessarily positional in terms of space; they refer more to the metaphorical positions.
I don't have the intimate knowledge of the topic that Cakedaddy does, but I can imagine what he says may be true.

"Catcher" and "Bottom" both refer to the receiver, regardless of actual position. The inverse is true of "Pitcher" and "Top".
