Looks like a shooting war has started, possibly led by the French.

So....

We just attacked a Muslim, African country, with no authorization from congress.

Where's the anti-war movement?

It's on The Daily Show, although in fairness they mainly pointed out - in their sarcastic way - that under laws enacted with the support of Senator Barack Obama in 2007 it would be illegal for President Barack Obama to bomb targets in Libya without consulting Congress, which is why we didn't bomb them we just participated in the British Enrubelfication Program by supporting their two missiles with another 120 of them.

So if I was a good screenwriter, I would totally start making a really good one about the CIA in Libya.

If I were a good screenwriter, I would probably just make porn.

By the way, Gadhafi is dead and the war is over.

Now their new boss is a weakling, there's an uneasy truce among the different tribes/factions, the international community is all but declaring Gadhafi was tortured and executed, and there are no plans for his burial.

If Egypt is an indication, Libya is going to be unstable for a while.

I find Gadhafi's death and burial really interesting. It seems by Islamic law, he should be buried quickly, yet nobody gives a shit because he was such an asshole. Ditto regarding his death, "He got what he deserved."

The U.S. treated Osama bin Laden better, and got more shit for it...

I remember reading a quote from Human Rights Watch in the WJ this wkend, and they thought that war crimes had occurred in Gadhafi's capture and probable execution.  All I could think was "What a jackass.  These people suffered for decades under him, they overthrow him - Of course they're going to kill him."  How conceited must HRW be to think people even care what they think in this matter?

War crime, my ass.
