I loaded this up today just for shits and giggles, running around killing mongbats with fireballs atm.

Good start.

50mag/50 resist

Ran off into the forest, killed enough to buy me a horse. Mongbats and zombies mostly. This latest trip i found one of those temp orc camps, let them chase me off them unlocked/untrapped the chest, got 150 gold and a magic wand... woo. first magic item.

Seen 5-6 people but I started in the best "middle of nowhere" town i could think of.

Oh and found a vendor with mark and recall, so bought those two.

Oops, it was a lightning wand, so i went back to try to use it on the orc mage.

Things were going ok until he ebolted me.... insta death.

Killed my horse too :( ass

So, you gonna restart KDC, or you gonna join TKV?
Posted by GORDON on Apr. 18 2009,17:07
Hey, join TKV.  Apparently we already even have our old base back already.  We'll be heavily into PVP when we're all trained up.

It's been over 6? years since i've even spoken with any of those guys. Ha.

Have been macoring up stats all night, got to 100 35 90... time to make some money and get some sick magery :)

Blade SPirits is the best farming tool for lower levels ever.

It has only gotten me killed once by autoaggoring a wisp and getting me first spell flamestriked.

But now that I have the hit points, I don't have to worry :)

Are you guys both actively playing on the shard? I've been fooling around in Trinsic today.

I am more than Gordon is.  I've got a combat ready Alex (not all GMed out, but upper 90's where it counts) and I'm working on Taran now.  I've got an Alchemist and the wife has a smith and a scribe.  We have a ton of houses and vendors galore.  So, ya, we are playing actively.  Gordon trains about once a week or so.  I think he's just waiting till we are rich enough to fund all of his training for him.

Currently basing out of the normal TKV spot.

We use Steam for out of game chat.  No one has ICQ anymore, that I know of.  So, login if you want.

Did you get a house near those lich spawns?

I haven't made a trip yet, but I always love that area for both pvp and farming.

Well duh.

Steam! Great idea....

We have a UOAM server up and running, I'll get the teamspeak server going in the near future.
Posted by GORDON on Apr. 18 2009,19:51
actually, I think steam has voice chat built in.

Should have almost 90 magery by the time I finish macroing today.

95 Eval, and 75 resist and high 90ish medidation.

What I really need are combat skills.

Wrestling and then fencing, I guess, for VaL.

I guess those have to be trained against someone with GM weapons skills of their own right?

Posted by Cakedaddy on Apr. 20 2009,10:12
Nope.  You can train them against sheep if you want.  At least I did.  It slows way down (as does everything) after 85ish.  But, it's raising.  It might raise faster on harder stuff. . . worth looking into.  Alex gained 3 wrestling after a handful of hours wrestling lesser opponents.  Maybe I'll find a grizzly.
