I came into this film expecting a lame plot, fart jokes, and T&A. What I got was T&A, a workable plot that succeeds in advancing the lame story, and some pretty good jokes. The whole movie revolves around a guy who graduates from high school, gets dumped by his hot girlfriend, and heads to Europe in search of a girl who could be "the one". Along for the ride is his best friend, a David Spade imitator whose antics outweigh his "annoying factor". The film makers might have figured this character could rub (<----unintentional funny, see the movie to learn why) some people the wrong way so they limited him intially and gave him one great scene that will have guys laughing their asses off. Right when he starts to get on your nerves, the movie ends. Nice pacing. Also along for the ride is a girl and guy who are twins...kinda. The guy is the stuffy nerd type, but not too nerdy. Just enough to make him a loser, but not enough to make him the "bad guy". His sister, IMHO, is hot. She's not supermodel hot, she's the girl next door hot. She comes off as a girl who likes to get nasty, but only with the right guy. Nice. T&A spoiler: You don't get to see her naked. Probably a smart move on her part as I could see her becoming a minor star if she plays her cards right. The trip takes the gang through England, France, Germany, Eastern Europe, Amsterdam, and Italy. The film is entertaining and funny because they take exactly what you would think they would take from each culture and make jokes based on it. The jokes aren't exclusive to mocking whatever culture is portrayed on film at the time. They also take shots at the tourists who travel to these places, no matter what nationality they are. Overall though, this movie is very entertaining. The silly plot devices used to setup jokes are overlooked as its a comedy. You get plenty of T&A. The characters are all likeable. Some of the jokes are a bit old, but they're still fun this time around. Did I mention the T&A? In fact, there is a scene when the group goes to a nude beach that will have Gordon masturbating furiously. Actually, this scene is rather hilarious as its exactly what one would expect... 7 out of 10 stars. Somebody please tell me when they've seen the film so they can laugh at my last paragraph. I know Gordo will. Posted by TPRJones on Jun. 07 2004,12:35
Saw it this past weekend, and I agree with your rating, but for the DVD extras that push it over the top I give it a 10 out of 10. Be sure to watch/listen to all the extra features, they are well worth it. Where else will you hear the phrase "a Luftwaffe of ass"? Posted by Leisher on Jun. 07 2004,14:03
I caught that too. Its hilarious that they had a mini-documentary based on that one scene. I also loved the challenge the writers made to other film makers. It sounds like something Trey and Matt from South Park would say or a challenge they'd try to beat. Posted by Paul on Jun. 07 2004,14:14
I'm that's the girl who played Buffy's sister Buffy the Vampire Slayer TV series. She has a pretty good fan base because of that show. I agree that it was a smart move for her not to show too much. The "unrated" version of this movie has a red "unrated" across her chest. Tricky advertising. Oh... and I can never ever watch the movie now because whenever the nude beach scene comes on I'll have a ghastly image of Gordon in my mind. You bastard! Posted by TheCatt on Jun. 07 2004,14:18
Scotty doesn't know.

Well, now you at least have masterbation fodder. Posted by Guest on Jun. 07 2004,14:22
Why would I come into someone's mind in a nude beach scene? Posted by TPRJones on Jun. 07 2004,14:24
Focus on that image. Because the sad truth is it just may save your life during that scene. Posted by Paul on Jun. 07 2004,14:42
Only if by fodder you mean shit. The way I see it, the scene starts of the the promise of hotties, the viewers' hands wander south, then they're surprised by a bunch of fat old nudists of various genders. Sort of like in "Something About Mary" where the binoculars zoom in on Mary's landlady in the other window. Posted by Leisher on Jun. 07 2004,15:52
Check out the last paragraph in my spoiler free review. Now read Paul's spoiler in the post above this one. For shame Paul. Not only is it a spoiler in a spoiler free review, but you've ruined my joke. Posted by Paul on Jun. 08 2004,05:44
I haven't seen the film. I just did the math with the numbers you gave. The real crime is that image of Gordon. Posted by TheCatt on Jun. 08 2004,14:34
