I guess this is a sci-fi show out of the UK, sort of like a Twilight Zone. I have been hearing good things so I watched the first episode over lunch. This episode reminded me strongly of Liquid Television from MTV back when that was still a good channel about 20 years ago. Trust me.... watch the first 10 minutes of the first episode. If you aren't on board for the entire show, I will eat my hat. 6 episodes on Netflix, total. Posted by Malcolm on Feb. 18 2015,10:50

Second episode as interesting as the first. We'd need a spoiler thread to discuss it properly.

Watched this because the DVD I ordered was more damaged than the NFL playoff chances of a joint Minnesota-Cleveland team.QUOTE watch the first 10 minutes of the first episode Not even. Five minutes. Watched the first 3 eps. 2 > 1 > 3. 3 was a distant third. 2 was goddamn good. 1 was a rather close second but made a slight misstep halfway through. Posted by GORDON on Feb. 22 2015,09:50
Just watched the third episode.Moral of this show seems to be, "Technology will fuck your life." Posted by Malcolm on Feb. 22 2015,10:01

I have watched the 6 that Netflix has, and apparently there was a XMAS episode last year with Jon Hamm that isn't available yet.If you haven't watched it yet, don't binge. Watch one, then recover for a day or so. This stuff should be taken in small bites then allowed to digest. Posted by Malcolm on Feb. 24 2015,08:57
< 3 seasons, 7 eps >.

Spiritual successor to The Twilight Zone. That won't mean anything to anyone under 30. Posted by TPRJones on Feb. 24 2015,09:31
I binged, but still enjoyed it.And I'd say that XMAS episode you haven't seen yet is quite probably my favorite of all of them. Find it. Watch it. Posted by GORDON on Mar. 14 2015,20:06
Yes, the XMAS episode was among the top 3 of all of them.I borrowed the internet's copy. Posted by Leisher on Apr. 01 2015,14:31
I have watched the first two episodes today, and they were both great.I'd go 2 > 1 > 4 > 5 >> 6 >>>>>>>>>>>>>>> 3. I could be talked into flip flopping 1 & 4, and in fact, I've already done so while typing this sentence. 1, 4, and 5 are interchangeable to me. Stick around for the credits on #5. Show might be back as a Netflix "original."< http://nerdist.com/black-mirror-netflix-original-return/ > Posted by Leisher on May 12 2015,18:29
Awesome. In related news, I actually did a live chat with their folks and asked for the same treatment for The League. Posted by TPRJones on Sep. 22 2015,17:54
Sooooo .... anyone else wondering if the show creators knew something about David Cameron that wasn't public yet?
Posted by Malcolm on Sep. 22 2015,18:31
No more than family guy knew about Jenner.

Exactly, yes. Seen the < news > lately on Cameron?I mean it's not really the same. But any coincidence involving both a pig, a prime minister, and a penis is a bit odd. Posted by Malcolm on Sep. 22 2015,20:13

I swear I read it was this season's first episode. I recall the first ep of the show being about the woman, and her male friend. And, uh... not much else.

Netflix put the lost Christmas episode up. (The one with Jon Hamm.) It's excellent. Thisclose to being #1 ranked in my book, but I'll leave it at #2.Also, Netflix is tweeting out clips and stuff from season 1 episode 1 because today is apparently #nationalpigday... Ha! Posted by Malcolm on Mar. 28 2016,19:50
Saw the Christmas episode thing. The theme seems to be blocking people, which is an interesting, yet flawed premise (will explain). The twist in the first one was too easy to guess. The second one also seemed quite obvious. The wrap-up at the end ... why in the fuck would you do that to the cookie? What's the point in torturing it? The dude's locked the fuck up. Blocking people... It seems to me that I'd want to remember sights and sounds from those who could potentially be threats to me, especially the red pervy ones. Why the fuck would you blot out their face and voice, i.e. primary things used to identify individuals? Posted by TPRJones on Mar. 28 2016,19:59
The red bit works in that you would just treat them all as potential threats. The others not so much.

(TPRJones @ Mar. 28 2016,21:59) QUOTE The red bit works in that you would just treat them all as potential threats. The others not so much. I'd still prefer to know exactly which perv/psycho is stalking me as opposed to a pixelated, grey, vaguely humanoid shape ... which actually seems way creepier than a person. I want to know if it's Gary Glitter versus Jeffrey Dahmer. Shit, Paul Reubens would show up red. Posted by Leisher on Mar. 29 2016,09:54
I loved that episode. And I'm sure that despite there being the pixelated blur, there's a way to know who's who. Posted by Troy on Mar. 29 2016,23:43
1-4 down. [4,2,1,3] so far.Fuck 4 was good. Posted by Troy on Mar. 31 2016,13:35
Maybe pig-fucking is like a super common thing in England that I had just not heard about until late last year.I know sheep-shagging was a thing the Scots(?) were accused of pretty often. E: the end of the Christmas episode with the reveal about his daughter got me pretty good. Should have expected it. Posted by Malcolm on Mar. 31 2016,14:10
QUOTE I know sheep-shagging was a thing the Scots(?) were accused of pretty often. That's a joke for a shitload of cultures. Scots, New Zealanders, Bedouins, etc. I heard a couple versions of this one over in the UK quite often: QUOTE As I was traveling along in Scotland/New Zealand, I came upon one of the locals fucking a sheep. I said, "You know, back where I'm from we shear those." The response came back, "Get your own."
