Did anyone watch this?I found it to be "ok." It was great as a period piece, and we got some fleshing-out of the Marvel universe in several ways. I can tell it was a very well-made show.... I think it just lacked any "FUCK YEAH!" moments. And, it seems like it knocked the "Agent Carter" One-Shot out of canon. Posted by Leisher on Mar. 12 2015,19:16

You should read some sort of summary of the universe-fleshing-out, if nothing else. Wikipedia might do that sort of thing.

We watched it and enjoyed it. The whole "Poor Peggy the accomplished agent that was forged in the fires of WWII isn't appreciated and made to take lunch orders and not taken seriously because she's a woman" was starting to REALLY get on my nerves about the time they stopped harping on it. Other than that, I really liked it. They did a good job with Stark's personality and made you really understand why Tony is the way he is.

Got as far as the second episode (2nd hour of two hour season premiere) and after the second reference to the plight of the poor black scientist I decided I couldn't stomach another season of being preached at by social justice warriors in the 40's and the wife and I both agreed it needed to be purged from the DVR queue. |
