This is an interesting litte web game of resource management and troop construction. Sort of like a slow-motion RTS sort of thing. I've only been playing since last night, but so far I like it.< http://www.travian.us/?uc=us2_96625 >

I did for five, right after you pointed it out (I think you get the bonus when I reach a population of 75).us2: Gauls, Something Nice (Capital) 28 (61|233)

Ah, OK. I didnt see you on my list, so I assumed not. Oh wait, I was looking at the wrong account. (I run multi, even though it's not allowed. I just keep them separate)Gauls are nice for defense (extra big crannies to hide goods)
Romans are good for growth (since they can build city and field at same time)
Teutons are the aggressive/raiding race. I'm playing one on server 4, and I raid several thousand of each good type each day. It's awesome.
I'm running double gaul right now on s5 to see how gauls play.

So... here's what I've learned so far:There is no protection, aside from you cannot lose your last city, and for a brief period when you are new. However, it can be crippled in such a way that your game is essentially over. So plenty of PvP stuff.
Alliances are good to have.
The game lasts somewhere around a year, and then resets. Server 5 just had a recent reset, so would be ideal for anyone who wants to give it a try.
The amount of time to play the game increases a lot once you're about 1-2 months in and start making additional villages.

Weird, my newb protection on US5 has already lifted. Not sure why. Being undefended I was torn apart by the wolves in about 10 minutes, so I'm all done on US5.239 hours of protection left on US2. I'll just stay there.

Yeah, noob protection seems to end quickly on newly reset servers.always cranny up.

Yup, I dug a little further and learned it's variable. I was still doing the tutorial. Now I got no resources and get raided too much to get to build anything at all.

Nah, I've been raided 27 times in less than 24 hours. I don't think giving me any resources would be a good idea. I got my Cranny up to level 1. I might be able to dig myself out slowly with that.
But, a note to anyone else that takes up this game: The graphics look like a friendly little boardgame, but this is a vicious game of pwnzoring asses. First time around I recommend starting on an old server so you can play through the tutorial before getting pwnzored.
If you start on a new server DO NOT DO THE FULL TUTORIAL. It seems to be specifically designed to turn you into a big fat resource-rich unprotected target of opportunity right at the point when protection fails. The tutorial is a trap. Don't fall for it.

Actually, do the whole tutorial, BUT MAKE SOME CRANNIES before your noob protection ends.Srsly, I have 4 accounts on that server.
Let me send you some resources, I'll let you know what time they will arrive, and you just build up the cranny as soon as they arrive.
