Microsoft hates PC users.

Seriously, they bend over backwards for the people who use their platform that makes no money, but shit on the people who use the platform that made them.

Cos if the choice came down to pandering to the crowd that wants a perfect console or a perfect OS, I think they know who'll be easier to deal w\.

I thought the #1 issue (strangely, not mentioned in that article) is that it isn't free.

Used to be free for 'silver' access, and a fee for 'gold.'  That changed?

I remember how hostile a certain Microsoft executive was towards the gaming media questioning the logic behind trying to charge PC users for stuff they've gotten free since day 1.

Wonder if he still works there?

Correct.  Now free overall.

This is making me rethink my game thingy platform.

I've played games on consoles and PC's.... PC's are just what suit my taste better.  Seems you either get to play complex games with better graphics and interface, or you get to play in the living room on the couch.  Just depends on what you're looking for.

Hmmm.  It doesn't apply to the XNA development stuff. Bah.
