Dibs on "ASSMAN"
Posted by Cakedaddy on Jun. 10 2007,18:04
And you call me gay. . . .

(Cakedaddy @ Jun. 10 2007,18:04) QUOTE And you call me gay. . . . Why do you immediately assume that he was talking about mens' asses? I'll have you know that women have asses too. And some of them are really nice to look at, to us "breeders" anyway. Posted by Cakedaddy on Jun. 11 2007,12:03
I'm talking about everyone above.

Gay.

(TheCatt @ Jun. 10 2007,16:13) QUOTE < >Added! My first Wii friend. I feel as if we have a new special bond that can never be broken. Posted by TheCatt on Jun. 11 2007,17:14
Sweet. I'll need to actually turn my on.Then we can share Miis. Posted by TPRJones on Jun. 18 2007,20:37
Have you added me? Just checking if I'm having technical difficulties I don't know about or not. I've yet to have a successful Mii sharing with anyone. Posted by TheCatt on Jun. 20 2007,04:18
Did you add me? Do we have to add each other?
Posted by TPRJones on Jun. 20 2007,09:28
Yup, it's a mutual adding thing before anything happens. It's cool if you don't wanna. I won't be hurt or anything. Sitting here all alone. Isolated in my friendless Wii. :'( Posted by TheCatt on Jul. 06 2007,04:03
I'm not ignoring you, I just haven't hooked it back up from when we went to the beach last month.
Posted by TPRJones on Jul. 06 2007,09:30
Heh. I still play with mine every day. I haven't started to rub off the newness yet. Posted by TheCatt on Jul. 06 2007,09:39
The kid kinda takes the Wii time away. The beach was the second time we'd played since she came in March.
Posted by Leisher on Jul. 06 2007,09:40
I haven't played the Wii in months. I've still got Twilight Princess to play too. Just haven't been interested enough to do so.Maybe I'll move it out of the living room into my office...that might get me to finally play it. Posted by GORDON on Jul. 06 2007,11:10
(TheCatt @ Jul. 06 2007,12:39) QUOTE The kid kinda takes the Wii time away. The beach was the second time we'd played since she came in March. Got a Nintendo DS for xmas a couple xmases ago... right after the son showed up (a son because my fucking sperm are overwhelmingly masculine).... but christ.... i can't find any time at all for it. When I have free itme to play, I gravitate toward a DVD or my desktop PC to play something. And I don't do either as much as I'd like. Posted by Leisher on Jul. 06 2007,12:34
I honestly think the DS has one of the best libraries of games for any game system. Obviously the PC is the top of the list, but I'd seriously look at the DS as #2. Not only do you have all the DS games, but you also have all the GBA games available to you. I keep one at work specifically for restroom visits. It's less conspicuous than carrying a magazine. Posted by TheCatt on Jul. 15 2007,05:46
OK, I added you, but it's acting like you havent added me.

I have, but I turned off the Connect24 a bit ago. I'll turn it back on now. Posted by GORDON on Jul. 15 2007,09:45
It's hard to get this crowd on-board with online gaming. They're all too old.
Posted by TPRJones on Jul. 15 2007,11:38
Well, this isn't really online gaming perse. I don't think there are any games that run through this sytem yet. Maybe later. For now I think it just means we can send each other emails, and when we play games that use Miis as the characters their Miis will occasionally show up. Sometime in the next few days when I'm playing Wii boxing I'll be beating the crap out of The Catt. Posted by TheCatt on Jul. 15 2007,16:17
Still undefeated (against humans) in boxing.

I got a Wii for Christmas. Opened it and set it up when I got home last night.Still haven't played it. I'm taking the day off tomorrow to recover from my vacation, so I might tinker with it then. Posted by WSGrundy on Dec. 25 2007,20:08

I played a little today.Did the "training" bit for the sports game (the only game I have) and it said I was 31 years old. My wife was 74. Ha! Posted by TheCatt on Dec. 26 2007,18:49
Your... penis? That sounds about right. Posted by Paul on Dec. 27 2007,13:29
I refer to that as my "wee wand."No comment on the definition of "wee." Posted by Paul on Dec. 30 2007,07:38
Got < a new toy >. It's only $20, and comes with a Zelda shooting game that is worth that price alone. My only complaint about the thing is that it doesn't shoot exactly where I'm pointing. There's a cross hair adjustment, but even when I move the vertical setting all the way up it still shoots a little low. (I keep the receiver bar thingy on top of a small speaker that's on top of the TV, so maybe it'd be better if I relocated it?) As long as I shoot from the hip it works fine. I'm really impressed with the Wii. I didn't think we had the technology to make the controllers work as well as they do. Posted by TPRJones on Dec. 30 2007,12:39
(Paul @ Dec. 30 2007,07:38) QUOTE I keep the receiver bar thingy on top of a small speaker that's on top of the TV Yes, that is definately the problem. The system is designed for the bar to be directly above or below the screen, and calculates screen position based on that assumption. Adding a spacer throws off those calculations. Christ, there is now a Wii under the big TV.Friends just left; we played about 4 hours of Guitar Hero. Wife is going out tomorrow with out Best Buy gift cards to buy another guitar controller. Sigh. Posted by TheCatt on Dec. 27 2008,17:39

Posted by GORDON on Dec. 27 2008,17:53
Not sure what you mean.We went out today and bought a new guitar. made sure it was one for the Wii. Then we couldn't get it to connect when we were playing Guitar Hero. Turns out the identical controller for one game wont work in the other. We got a guitar for "Rock Band" not really realizing the difference. That's some fine engineering. Takes fucking instrument compatibility charts to keep it all straight. What the fuck.< http://www.joystiq.com/Instrument-Compatibility-Matrix/ > Posted by TheCatt on Dec. 27 2008,18:41
I meant: if it was just the guitar hero game (guitar only), i could understand your frustration. But if it was the world tour (drums/guitar/microphone), then you're just a killjoy.

(GORDON @ Dec. 26 2008,23:39) QUOTE Christ, there is now a Wii under the big TV ... Guitar Hero. There's your problem right there. There are many things the Wii is good for. Playing games that are available for the other (read: better) consoles is not one of them. Posted by Malcolm on Dec. 28 2008,12:04
(GORDON @ Dec. 27 2008,19:57) QUOTE Takes fucking instrument compatibility charts to keep it all straight. What the fuck. < http://www.joystiq.com/Instrument-Compatibility-Matrix/ > You start specializing something as low-level as hardware, shit gets complex. Posted by GORDON on Dec. 28 2008,13:34
The person who markets a device that plugs into the Wii USB port that allows compatibility for all the hardware to all the software will be rich.
