Execution couldn't be any worse than what Sony did to SW.

(Vince @ Dec. 08 2006,18:07) QUOTE Execution couldn't be any worse than what Sony did to SW. You assume the incompetency of the MMOG industry has a ceiling. Posted by GORDON on Dec. 08 2006,17:54
A dollar sez that if Sony actually launches it, there will be, in one form or another, aliens.

I have yet to see the series or the movie, although I am excited to do so and might do it before the end of this month, however, I'm pretty sure making a MMO based on such a small fanbase is a bad idea.

QUOTE You can always come over and watch it on the big screen, marathon-style. Are you coming on to me? That actually sounds like a plan, but when? This holiday season will, I'm sure, be filled with family stuff. Although, I do have the week between X-Mas and New Year's off... QUOTE You are, in the interim, dead to me. As much hype as this show gets, it had better be the mental equivilent of getting a blow job while eating a steak while watching the National Championship game while playing Half-Life 3. This holiday season will, I'm sure, be filled with family stuff. Although, I do have the week between X-Mas and New Year's off... I know there are lots of plans between now and XMas, but I can't think of a single thing I have planned between XMas and New Year. Name a day and I'll check with my secretary. Oh, and if it doesn't work for you, Gordon will cook you a filet and give you head during the Ohio State Florida game.

Not in this house, I wont.Be watching sports, I mean. Posted by Leisher on Dec. 14 2006,10:09
Well of course you won't be watching. Your head will be focused elsewhere.By the way, my secretary doesn't seem to think there will be a problem if we get together to watch the show one of those days, so I'm going to say Wednesday the 27th. Posted by GORDON on Dec. 14 2006,10:52
Ok. What time do you have in mind? And the baby goes to bed 9ish.But then maybe I can arrange a sitter. Babies are annoying and have no courtesy when it comes to allowing others to watch Firefly. Posted by Leisher on Dec. 14 2006,12:09
QUOTE Ok. What time do you have in mind? And the baby goes to bed 9ish. You pick the time. 13 episodes translates to roughly 8.7 hours of viewing goodness. That's assuming each 60 minute episode is really 40 minutes without commercials. That doesn't include the time for the Firefly movie. QUOTE But then maybe I can arrange a sitter. Babies are annoying and have no courtesy when it comes to allowing others to watch Firefly. A sitter might be best, particularly since you have one 100 yards away. I've had many viewing experiences ruined by a selfish baby who can't grasp the concept of only crying during commercials. Posted by DictionaryDave on Dec. 20 2006,08:54

Toledo area. 19 hours one-way. Well, if I didn't already own Firefly myself that would certainly be worth it. Getting to force Leisher to finally watch it almost makes it worth it. I'll really have to think about it. I'll be in Nacogdoches on Tuesday, which puts me 3 hours closer. That makes it only 16 hours. Hmmmmm... Posted by GORDON on Dec. 20 2006,14:56

I'm guessing no, but that will determine whether or not MY SO will be around w/kid. Actually, my SO has plans that night. So looks like just me. Cake. Leisher. DD if he wants. He can organize that w/Leisher and come together, prolly. RSVP so I can think about what to do about food. All told, there's 12-14 hours of stuff to watch, if we go pilot ---> the movie. Oh, and if there were any PC games I received in the last "however long" that we had discussed you borrowing...well, it's convenient now, so let me know and I'll try to dig them up to bring with me. I figure if we start at noon it'll take us not TOO deep into the wee hours. I have plenty of floor and an extra bedroom if need be. I figure Cake would want to use the bedroom since he's travelling the farthest. Any hot women you bring I'll take care of myself. Bring a few bucks for pizza, I reckon. How's the event going? I was considering going down, but then I found something more fun to do. We were on a tight schedule with so many episodes to watch. QUOTE This sucks more than anything has ever sucked before. Kidney stones suck, but try having a kideny get shut down by a blood clot. Not fun. QUOTE How's the event going? As for Firefly, well I'm working on a front page rant to describe my feelings on the series and on the Fox Network. So yeah, I liked it. I don't hate the song. While it wouldn't be in my MP3 player, it fits the tone of the series and that's the important thing.
Posted by WSGrundy on Dec. 31 2006,12:00
For those who don't have it the complete series is $17.99 at circuit city this week.
Posted by Cakedaddy on Dec. 31 2006,22:35
I watched the whole series over the course of about a week, or less. By the second DVD, the song was near agonizing to listen to. I found it extremely homosexual.
