Yeah. I kind of miss games that play by Commando rules.

< 10s trailer >. Looks like a revenant.

I'll reserve judgment for the full trailer.

QUOTE The core loop of gameplay is known by id as "push-forward combat," so anything that makes players slow down and pause is immediately removed. Wonder if they'll also include some Adderall or meth to help on the player end. Posted by Leisher on Jul. 27 2015,10:20
Games that constantly push you forward can be fun, but they usually suck unless they're 2D platformers...

(Leisher @ Jul. 27 2015,12:20) QUOTE Games that constantly push you forward can be fun, but they usually suck unless they're 2D platformers... I remember going over old Doom I and II levels to suck up all the ammo and health power-ups before heading on. Posted by GORDON on Jul. 27 2015,10:51
I remember a room in DOOM II full of the major demons... you're like, "What the fuck do I do about this?" And then you remember that if they receive friendly fire, they will turn on each other.... so I stepped into the room, counted 1 Mississippi, then left the room after they all fired on me... hitting each other... and I listened to the sound of them killing each other from the other side of the door.Good times in Hell. That was also awesome. I forgot about the infighting.

I kind of get that's keeping to the solo hero legacy they want to maintain. On the other hand, if I'm forking out $$$ for something, I'm less likely to spend high amounts if I can't play with my Steam list.

No Coop? But that's not true to the movie it's based on!

(TPRJones @ Jul. 27 2015,14:16) QUOTE No Coop? But that's not true to the movie it's based on! Well damn, if we're talking about being true to the movie, why don't Karl Urban and the Rock both parachute from above and take a flying shit on everyone that's dumb enough to pay for it. Let me know when someone gets it running in a browser. I don't want to emulate the original game then figure out/relearn how to run custom maps. I haven't done that in 20 years. Well, 18 years, maybe. Posted by Malcolm on Jan. 17 2016,09:46
As long as it doesn't suck up memory like Privateer II, I bet I can make DOSBox work.
Posted by Malcolm on Jan. 18 2016,11:45
QUOTE To play it, the tool ZDoom or other similar software plus the original Doom are required.
Posted by GORDON on Jan. 18 2016,16:07
Exactly. Again, this game could be run in a browser. Posted by Malcolm on Feb. 04 2016,10:25

Shit. These fuckers are taking advantage for my compulsory purchases of collector's editions.
Posted by Malcolm on Feb. 05 2016,12:06
If it were a cyberdemon figure, I'd be on board. I will forever recall encountering that fucker the first time. I heard him long before I saw.

< Average campaign length is ... > 13 hours, says creator. Seems kind of short to me.
Posted by Leisher on Feb. 15 2016,09:55
The videos for the game on Steam look incredible. However, 13 hours is WAY too short for a $60 game. I'll buy it in a few years when it's more reasonably priced, like $10. Posted by GORDON on Feb. 15 2016,17:14
(GORDON @ Feb. 05 2016,14:14) QUOTE Shit. These fuckers are taking advantage for my compulsory purchases of collector's editions. For some reason they are selling this to amazon prime members for $25 off, so I just pre-ordered. Posted by Malcolm on Feb. 15 2016,18:01
Eh, the statuette isn't doing it for me.
