< CS:GO > released their "Arms Deal" patch a few weeks back, and after spending several hours playing it, I'm somewhat happy with it. 90% of the patch was focused on visual upgrades, they've added a similar version of the TF2 item drop system, after playing an entire round in either Classic/competitive/arms race modes, the server will drop at random certain skins of different values for the weapons. The server may drop 10 items one round, and then none the next round, its all randomized. The players it picks for the drops is also purely random, so going ham on a server with a score of 34/23/0 won't get you anymore than the noob who went 0/2/34. . Crates and boxes are also dropped, which will unlock one rare skin picked roulette style, but you have to purchase a $2.49 key to open them, not a huge rip if you're into the skin's.

Overall, pretty cool patch, gives you more reasons to stick around in a game even if your team is being pasted, and just generally makes the game a little more interesting.

ALSO: < 5 Year Veteran Coins > are being given out to players who have owned any copy of CS on steam for more than 5 years, as a CS birthday celebration for GO turning 1 year old a few days ago. Got mine ;D
