This is a weird game.The story goes...well, to be honest, I have no idea. The word on the web has it linked to nukes or something, but as you're playing, it comes off as an odd romantic story. The story is told through a bunch of cryptic passages in some books. The gameplay is the true star here and a lot of it is brilliant. The main component is time. You reverse time, pause time, speed it up, use your own past movements, etc. all to solve different puzzles. By solving the puzzles you collect puzzle pieces and advance stages. However, I have no idea what the puzzles you put together represent. One of the oddest things about the game are the stars you can collect. There are 8 total, and unless you are on the web searching for help with the game you'd never know they exist. These stars are some of the most brutal things to collect in gaming history. The mere fact that nothing in the game even tells you of their existence proves that. When you finally get the solutions, you'll see that you would have to be pretty insane about the game to find them on your own. For example, one of them requires you to sit on one screen for 2 hours doing nothing but waiting. That's not a typo. Everything in the game is a puzzle. Everything. Even the closing when you think it's over, there's a puzzle there. This is NOT a game for everyone. The puzzles are difficult, and I recommend a gamepad. Good stuff.I seem to recall reading the developers saying they didn't really know what the story was about, either, that it was a bit disjointed and crazy on purpose, but without specific meaning in mind. Posted by Malcolm on Jan. 17 2010,11:27
