< http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,552300,00.html >QUOTE Falsely accused by a college freshman of being one of five men who she said tied her down and gang-raped her at Hofstra University in New York, Felipe was being held on half a million dollars bail and facing countless years behind bars if convicted of a heinous crime he knew he didn't commit. Felipe, 19, is in the clear now, as are the four other men Danmell Ndonye, an 18-year-old student, said had raped her in a dorm at the university's Mineola campus on Long Island. Ndonye confessed to police late on Wednesday that she made the whole story up after a cell phone video surfaced showing her involved in consensual sex with several men in a bathroom in the dorm. ... "I grew up in an all-women household — my mom, my sisters, my grandma. They would never raise me to treat a woman like that," Felipe said. "It really hurt. I treat all women with respect." I bet that changes. Posted by GORDON on Sep. 18 2009,14:24

I guess the school forgot about the Duke incident. And why is it with rape that the whole "innocent until proven guilty" thing goes out the window? How many times do women have to falsely accuse men of rape before society starts to realize that maybe it should wait to hear the facts before passing judgment? All the more reason to punish her severely.

QUOTE And why is it with rape that the whole "innocent until proven guilty" thing goes out the window? I blame it on two things : 1) This country was originally settled by people who thought of sex as unholy & damn near blasphemous (if it weren't for that pesky procreation detail). Combining that w\ a criminal act pokes society's collective right brain in uncomfortable places. 2) < Men have obviously been unjustly oppressing women since the dawn of time, you sexist sumbitch. > QUOTE How many times do women have to falsely accuse men of rape before society starts to realize that maybe it should wait to hear the facts before passing judgment? Maybe if Jesus got laid in the New Testament, we wouldn't have this problem.

(GORDON @ Sep. 19 2009,22:41) QUOTE (TPRJones @ Sep. 19 2009,22:13) QUOTE Maybe if Jesus got laid in the New Testament, we wouldn't have this problem. Maybe if he got laid and later peeps hadn't edited that fact out... All kinds of interesting early books got banned from the canon for being not quite godly enough. They need to release the Bible : the ultra mega collector's extended edition. I'd settle for a day or two of free reign inside the Vatican archives, though. Posted by GORDON on Sep. 20 2009,09:46
Heh, the Bible: Director's cut with all deleted scenes inserted back in.
