Yeah, that won't last long. I sense many many vandalized cameras in Houstons immediate future.

I thought the same thing here. Then the courts overturned the legality of the cameras. Posted by GORDON on Jun. 18 2011,12:12
People in Houston just voted to get rid of the cameras.Houston just said, "Hey hey hey, people can't just vote and decide to eliminate city ordinances." < http://www.click2houston.com/news/28271978/detail.html > Posted by TPRJones on Jun. 18 2011,18:07
Our new mayor has crappy politics, but she tends to do the right thing (as she sees it to be, which is where I would disagree with her on most points). I have a feeling she'll do what she can to follow the wishes of the voters on this one.

QUOTE Following the Wednesday announcement to reactivate the red light cameras, Parker said she had 2 options: follow the will of the people or follow her conscience. Well, then. I take back my prior statement. Posted by thibodeaux on Jul. 10 2011,05:58
To be fair, typically the "will of the people" is moronic. On the other hand, a politician with a conscience? ROFLMMFAO.

One wonders why all these hackers, like Anonymous, go after Sony instead of these red light camera companies. You want to talk about oppressing the people? Look no further than this money grab portrayed as a safety initiative. Posted by Malcolm on Jul. 10 2011,21:23
(Leisher @ Jul. 10 2011,23:15) QUOTE One wonders why all these hackers, like Anonymous, go after Sony instead of these red light camera companies. As likely as the fuckers who ordered the cameras in the first place to regaining their sanity and canceling the contracts. Posted by GORDON on Jul. 10 2011,21:26
Too many random companies running speed cameras?
