< "The world is turning against them." >

Fuck this trend.

Victoria's Secret models should be the "ideal". Is it wrong for people to assume all women should look exactly like them? Yes. However, is it wrong to start a movement shunning these women in favor of larger women? Yes.

Let's not celebrate obesity, which happens to be the number one killer in this country. Yet, that's what we're doing with this bullshit "real women have curves" garbage.

Yeah!

And fuck short girls for not being tall like Victoria's Secret models, too.  If they really cared about themselves they'd grow taller.

Professional sports should not use athletes that are the best at their sport.  They make those of us that aren't great at sports feel bad about ourselves.  There should be more sucky athletes in professional sports.

TPR is volunteering to bang fat chicks so as not to have their self esteem damaged.

Well, it's like when they remake a classic and beloved movie: at least they aren't erasing the good version from my blu ray (unless you are George Lucas, then you try to do it anyway).

Fat chicks can keep being fat, and I will still be drooling over the hot ones.  It isn't like I'm going to be swayed because VS has unattractive models.

Not the same. Most people can help not being obese. Short people can't help being short.

Besides pixies are more fun. Tall girls are boring.

I don't care if someone is bigger and confident in their looks. I'm not 6'3" with a 6 pack, yet I'm very confident. I also know why ads have guys that look like that and I'm not posting pictures of John Goodman on my FB feed with the caption "Real men don't have abs".

I've got no issue with ads or lines marketed to "real women", but the lowering of standards in this country is a shitty trend, and it's not just about our physical appearance either.

I suspect the gift certificates from husbands and boyfriends will decline if they're using fat and unattractive models.

"Yeah baby, I want you to look more like THAT!"

Sixty years ago the average British woman's figure was fairly trim: at a petite 5ft 2in, the scales rarely tipped 9st 10lb. Even her feet - size 31/2 - were small, and she fitted neatly into a size 12 dress.
As for her vital statistics - 37-27-39 - she was the classic hour-glass, not far off Hollywood standards (America's most famous pin-up girl Betty Grable measured a curvy but slender 36-24-35).
Fast forward to 2009, and we have ballooned. Not only are we taller, we're also heavier and less curvaceous, according to the UK National Sizing Survey.

So, take that "real women have curve" fascists.

No, but I'll volunteer to bang short chicks if that will help.  Personally I like 'em tiny and angry.  Like Michelle Rodriguez.

Not my point.  My point is there are a lot of standards that are set by Victoria's Secret that are rather arbitrary or specific to one particular set of tastes.  It's not just all about fat vs thin.  So there are also other reasons to want to broaden that scope a bit.

Although this point is also beyond the scope of the linked article under discussion.

There's plenty of black guys to bang the fat chicks, TPR doesn't need to take that particular bullet.

Since he's in Houston, it's probably a pretty competitive market.

With lots of supply too.

All that fake BBQ makes em on the hefty side.

No, no, Houston BBQ is pretty blah.  The good stuff is in small-town pits.
