I wouldn't say the bank error landed him in jail. It was thinking no one would miss $30k that resulted in some bad decision making that landed him in jail.Wife ended up with a huge auto deposit paycheck (like 3 or 4 times normal) once and first notified the bank and then HR to ask about it. Turns out they retro'd her pay on a pay raise because they'd missed doing her eval for over a year. Even at that, she waited until after the next pay period before she spent any of the extra she'd gotten. This guy didn't look like a brain trust, however. Posted by Leisher on Mar. 12 2015,11:40

Maybe leak out info to someone you know so your identity gets "stolen." |
