QUOTE [ESPN interviewer said] Six kids? Regardless of your profession, it’s impossible to be a good parent to six kids. Not enough hours in the day. Buttwipe. Both sets of my grandparents had six kids. Posted by GORDON on Oct. 23 2013,12:54
Yeah, people like that are douches.

(thibodeaux @ Oct. 23 2013,14:47) QUOTE QUOTE [ESPN interviewer said] Six kids? Regardless of your profession, it’s impossible to be a good parent to six kids. Not enough hours in the day. Buttwipe. Both sets of my grandparents had six kids. When your definition of "good parenting" involves hovering around your children like an overprotective zerg task master and running every aspect of their lives until age 40, he's right. Nowhere near enough hours. Posted by GORDON on Oct. 23 2013,13:40
Unfriended someone from Facebook the other day... she seemed like a sane, normal, together person. I went to high school with her. We had the same taste in literature. PhD in physical therapy, single, and I enjoyed reading about her adventures on the horse farm she bought. Then one day her neighbor, a quarter of a mile away, out in the country, had a party with a bunch of little kids.... and she couldn't help but douche it up with OMG I CAN ACTUALLY HEAR THEM... and HOW CAN PEOPLE HAVE KIDS? and OMG SOME OF THEM ARE HOME SCHOOLED. This was a kid party, outside, on a nice day. I ignored the first couple comments, but when she kept going on about it, unfriended. I don't know why or how people get like that. I don't like kids, but just turn up the stereo/tv/whatever lady and get over it. Geez.

QUOTE I don't know why or how people get like that. Doesn't take a degree in psychiatry to figure out why a woman in her 40s (you went to school together), and obviously without children, would rage about children. Posted by GORDON on Oct. 23 2013,13:54
But it aint just her. I hear comments all the time about how children should not be allowed in restaurants, airplanes, or otherwise ever be seen in order to not make some unadjusted, douche adult not feel uncomfortable. They use terms like "delicate snowflakes" to describe these children, not realizing they are showing extreme weakness and vulnerability just being in the same room with a child.Makes me want to hit people with a 2x4. Help them straighten out their life priorities. They'd thank me. Posted by TPRJones on Oct. 23 2013,14:44
I have no problem with children that aren't loud and obnoxious brats being wherever I am. But if I go to a (non-family-themed) restaurant or a movie or on an airplane and some kid is screaming their head off I'm going to get annoyed. And I'm going to blame the parents. I don't think that's unreasonable.

I'm right there with you. I hate parents that cannot control their unruly children.... that is, I hate it when they don't leave whatever non-childish venue they are in with an unruly child. The people I am talking about aint like that. Baby's ears popping on an airplane, and it hurts the baby and it cries? STUPID PARENTS WITH THEIR PRECIOUS SNOWFLAKE CROTCHFRUIT, THEY SHOULD NOT BE ALLOWED TO FLY. If you have never been exposed to people like that, I am jealous of you. Posted by TPRJones on Oct. 23 2013,17:00
I don't have unruly kids, so no reason to encounter them.
